Installed GT500 axle backs, all by myself, took me 2 hours, haha, but I'm proud of myself, first time doing this, and I only jacked up one side of the car to do it.

SMS 302, but I'm missing the cladding piece for the door and the little screen that goes in the cutout because Saleen forgot to send those and they're on backorder. I had to install as is for a track day to replace the OEM one I effed up. :headbang:

Took an afternoon ride west on Rt 80 into Blairstown, NJ to visit friends. This time I remembered to reset my fuel economy gauge as soon as I got on the highway, shifted to 6th, set the cruise control at 75mph, and managed to get 27.0 mpg on the highway until I got to a secondary road at 55mph which led me to more shifting on some much slower country roads and my ultimate destination.

I reversed the route on the ride home and overall I average over 22.5
mpg in my GT. Far cry from the 15mpg I get locally which is most of my driving.

And all this was with the top down. I'm sure if the top was up I'd have done better with less drag.

Nice! I haven't used Klaase in close to 8 years. I remember it being durable and glossy.

Looks like the 'dillo got crunched under my front wheel cause I could not find any type of damage or guts underneath my car yesterday. I call that a win!

Bath day, and it's not even Saturday nite. I got some messed up H2O...tiny water spots all over despite a an immedate warm dry with a Master Blaster. Straight vinegar solved the problem, but now it smells like a d-bag!!!!!

Also installed my Airaid intake tube and removed the unescessary appendix, I mean, sound tube. No need for a kit...all the plugs come with the Airaid. Now I just have to find the perfect Ford emblem for it.

It's advertised to improve throttle response. Haven't driven it yet, so I don't know. But it sure does look better than factory.

Installed the MMD Hood struts and replaced the stock lug nuts with some black ones yesterday in the **** Texas heat. But totally worth it, I like how much higher the hood is held up with the struts.

I was also going to install the JLT oil-air separator last night, but when I opened the box from American Muscle I found out that they gave me the driver side separator even though the box and my order says passenger side!

Zero chips.
Or you could just repaint the front bumper in three years for about the same cost of the clear bra AND not have to worry about the seam on the clear bra. I notice those seams and the usual orange peel texture on those things all the time! Until clear bras are under $300 INSTALLED, I don't see the point

There is always the chance that you may not even have any chips after three years too

Sure... you could repaint. But I don't want to. I want my original paint, in perfect condition, as it was out of the factory, from day 1. But yes, repaint is an option for everybody. That's the beauty of having choices...anyone can do either, as long as they're happy with it. No issues with that at all.

As for the "seam" of the clear bra, I'm guessing you haven't seen in person a really GOOD installation of clear bra? It's hardly noticeable. If somebody didn't tell you it was there, you would not have known it was there. Now I've seen some botched jobs, a lot. That falls on the skill of the installer. But you're right, it's STILL visible if one really looks for it. And I'm ok with that, because I'd rather live with a "seam" than with craters of rock chips on my paint. To each his own.

There's no seam if they do custom pieces. I have a seam on my fenders, but not for long. I'm having the whole fenders done eventually. You can't tell I have clear bra on my hood. The front bumper is so barely noticeable, that you couldn't tell unless I told you also. The film my shop uses does not have orange peel, it just smooth and glossy, like another clearcoat.
