Oh well, to each his own!
Seriously, if you're a bow tie fan you might like it, same goes for the Mopar guys and the Challenger. But I can't stand GM interiors most of all. I think the Vette interior looks like crap too. GM loves grey plastic. If a Camaro buyer loves grey plastic, they're in luck!

I will say that I like my Mustang interior, but I also like my F150 and my Expedition interior too. I haven't always liked Ford interiors, but of late they are doing much better.

Very true.

Although I must admit, there has been much improvement on all fronts for domestic manufacturers.

Well the last time I checked most car interiors are pretty much full of plastic. I'm not sure what people are expecting from the Mustang. You're not going to get a Caddy CTS interior. The interior looks unique to the Mustang unlike the Challenger which pretty much is the same 300c/Charger setup. I know people compare the F150 and MKZ layout to the Mustang but remember those designs came out after the Mustang.

I agree.

The comparison between my equally equipped 2005 Sequoia and 2007 Expedition is astounding. The Sequoia seats, as is in most Japanese designed cars, were very thin feeling, while my Expedition seats are very comfortable. The interiors are just so much better in the Fords now. I tried the Toyota Sequoia and the Chevy Suburban, but the Expedition just wins hands down on interior from the front dash to the rear seat.

I don't see the interiors of a lot of other cars though, outside of my friends who own Chevy, Toyota, Dodge, and Nissan pickups. But again I would take my F150 over them also.

I am liking the 2010 Mustang interior so far. I won't know for sure though until I sit in it. So first chance I get I'm also going to go sit in the Camaro and the Challenger too!

Yeah, the 2010 Mustang interior is definitely looking good. I just want to see that **** center stack! I noticed that on the Cobra interior, the aluminum dash looks brushed. Did you see that also?

I didn't see that. I'm with you the center stack is really gonna make this car's interior. I think thats my biggest beef with the Camaro, the center stack. The poor Camaro fans had a really cool concept car to look at, but the production car, and I think we can agree on this, is somewhat lacking in comparison to its concept. But for the Mustang we have no concept to look at. We have no idea of the direction of the future other than a bunch of spy shots here and there with only partially exposed pieces.

The spy shots are such a tease.

Here is the brushed aluminum look I'm talking about: http://jalopnik.com/photogallery/201...Spy/1001909918

Its just so hard to tell. I do see the brushed aluminum and the plastic chrome trim around the vents and gauges, but its starting to look like a refresh as someone mentioned before rather than a redo.

I know that this is not related to Mustang interiors but if you want to see something really scary about the Challenger check out this photo of the 1970 Chally next to the 2009.

Why don't they just call it an SUV?

The 1970 Challenger is one of the sexiest cars ever produced.

I mean, just look at that ***.

I'm a Chevy guy that surprised people that I bought a Mustang. I can easily agree with everyone that the new Camaro interior is ugly. Even with all the other Ford models, i'm finding myself liking them better the Chevys. Either my taste is changing or Ford is getting better in the visual department for me.

True. But not lowered that much. We are also talking about a car built in 1970. They didn't exactly build them small back then.

I've said it before the Challenger has a bumper that is about a foot tall. Just look at it.

IIRC, the new Challenger is actually bigger than the original. I also believe part of the bumper height thing has to do with stricter safety standards and the greater number of trucks/SUVs on the road being an influence (trying to match bumper heights) - for instance, if any of those things hits me or i happen to rear end one, the bumpers on my Fox would probably completely miss. scary thought...

Actually it's lowered a lot. I believe that's a Trans Am car.
