2010 Mustang Revealed?
2010 Mustang Revealed?
I saw this here on another thread and was wondering how close we think this will be to the final production. it seems to a pretty good representation of whats under all that camo.
My feeling is the eventual exterior redesign is not going to make me envious enough to wish I had the newer one. There may be some interior changes that may be interesting which to me was always one of the unfinished businesses of the current model.
I think that concept looks like it's sad. It wants to cry because it looked into the mirror. Maybe it's the angle, but it looks like its got droopy eyes. Nonetheless, if its got a sweet engine and redesigned interior, it's gunna be a seller. Guaranteed.
The rear side reminds me with the new Camaro..
@ Twin Turbo: is it June 2008 edition of Car and Driver? is it out yet? the "6.2-Litre 400-HP V-8" note seems to be as it is against all expectations (displacement wise)

Yeah, sounds like the drivetrain info is very out of date.
I just clicked the link in Post 25 of this thread:

Nobody bothers to find out what the facts are these days, they just re-print hearsay w/o checkig their sources.
I LIKE IT! A while back I posted on a thread that they should make the 10' car look more like the 03' Concept car! To me it looks like they did a couple minor touches to the concept car and kept the retro Mustang look. Before the front end reminded me of 69' This one kinda reminds me of 67-68. It looks much more aggressive than the current model.
It kinda reminds me of the transition between the 98 to 99 model. The "new edge" styling of the 99-04 car was actually inspired by a rejected clay model for the 94' car.

The only area's of the photoshop I didn't like, were the stamped creases in the quarter panels. IMHO those hips look really generic, as though they were borrowed from the 2008 Buick Enclave / SRT Charger.
That being said, I was very disappointed, and expected to see some real hips !

I would cry if that's what it looked like. I really don't think they'll be able to top the current design.
That thing is sitting WAAAAAY too low to be real-unless FRPP springs are part of the new package...oh, and check out the reflection from the spoiler on the KR, and then look at the same area on the "new" mustang. Plus, the mirrors are the old mirrors, nothing like the ones on the test cars.

I agree. It looks like my Bassett Hound when I don't give her a good-size sample of the food I'm eating.
