Jalopnik has new spy shots of a GT. And it is nice!

Steering wheel audio controls! And are those SYNC buttons? And can anyone make out those buttons by the shifter?

Small new changes:
- Bullitt like thumb spots on the steering wheel.
- GT500 like leather e-brake with boot.
- A pony center emblem and not a GT one.
- Looks like the round A/C vents wont be rotating anymore.

I'm guessing this is the new IUP and not the standard GT interior. If this is the GT standard interior, I hope the V6 gets all this an option.

 

I'm liking what I see so far. I feel like the new shape of the silver steering wheel spokes give us a clue as to the new styling of the rest of the car.

I don't like those two square vents in the center of the dash. Doesn't go well with the round cluster rings.

 

Loving it!! The interior design was the only thing on the s197 that really has kept me from buying one. As much as I love the retro design of the current Stang, the interior was a bit too plain.

 

I am starting to like it!

 

Very nice, I'm liking the interior so far. I have never really cared for audio buttons on the wheel but won't care if they are there.

Ok, shot in the dark here.... Since we're seeing a SYNC system, could it be..... an iPod Dock??

 

I looked at the 1280 pics on the site and it looks to me like the middle button has red on it like a hazard button and the front button has a car with 2 squiggly lines under it like traction control or ESC, and the back button looks like the apple logo as best as I can tell, but it might be a fuel door button?

 

Probably for heated seats. Is that only a 120 mph speedo on the GT?

 

Yes it is, and a 7000 rpm tach with a red line at 6000 again.

 

I'm one that doesn't think the current interior looks all that bad, especially with the IUP.

Anyway, I pretty much like what I see except for the square vents and white faced guages...

Definitely a higher class interior than the current. I like it. Wonder if I can get that cluster for an 05?

I like that. Pity the round centre vents are gone, but I'll live with that in return for some better quality plastics.

 

no one notice the chrome bezel on the speaker on the door? or the rear mounted vents on the hood? you can see both in the pics.

I dont care for the rectangular air vents but like the rest, love the ebrake and the fact that the speedo and tach are swapped into proper locations.

 

Wonder if MyColor is still going be an option?
