New 2010 GT Interior Spy Shots
I don't mind the square vents in the center. It will allow the radio to be positioned up higher in the center stack, which would be a welcome change. Compared to most other current vehicles, the Mustang's radio controls are very low. And with the SYNC integration, touchscreen nav, etc., having that screen higher up is definitely a good thing.
I'm definitely liking what I'm seeing so far... if it has soft-touch upper door panels, I'm sold!

Any way, so 120MPH/7K RPM is the V6 cluster. The article on jalopnik says all the pics are from the same car, so either it really is a GT with a V6 cluster or the V6 is getting a dual exhaust to go with some sort of appearance package.
The exterior pics and video from earlier today had the fog lights back in the grill, I don't see them here so maybe this is a V-6 and not the GT as reported by Jalopolink
I like it! I like the s197 interior as well. With the camaro around the corner what I have seen so far from GM is hideous. Now, just let us have a 400 hp 5.0 and a six speed and keep the weight down and give me some decent mileage. I dont want much do I?
That's right! Forgot about the GT still having the big fog lights. For 09MY, Ford made IUP standard on the Premium V6 and GTs, so more than anything this is probably the Premium V6/GT interior. Now the question is, whats up with the dual exhaust on a V6-looking car?
Never getting rid of my 06', I love it way to much. The question for me will be will the new wheel and even controls be able to be fitted onto an older model. My wheel has some nicks and dents in it and that would be a sweet replacement.
I still say it will be a miracle if they build the new one with more appeal than the existing.
The new interior is OK. But I miss the round center vents. I also personally thought the interior now was great!! I don't want an audi or focus like interior in my mustang.

Looks like they shortened up the handbrake...and leather(like) wrapped it!

I think it look great, not as cheap and plasticky as the current interior. I'd say its a V6 though, and as far as the dual exhaust, if the new 3.5 is making around 250-275hp it should have dual exhaust. I mean even the Fusion does. Who knows, the duals could be a V6 sport/appearance package? Part of a new pony package? I dunno, just guesses.
Likes: Contrast stitching on seats and wheel, the steering wheel, higher quality looking materials.
Dislikes: Carry over huge airbag cover, horrid gauges left over from 1966 (c'mon, a 2010 model year car doesn't need gauges that can't be read), square center vents.
So I guess it isn't an all new interior, it's just got a few trim/material changes, I hope they finally put proper sport seats in this thing as the car is capable of generating far more G-forces than the flat seats can handle.
Does anybody know if any companies like autometer make replacement gauges for the 05-08 cars?

And I still don't get the objection to the 1967-style square vents. I had a 1967, and my nephew has a 2006 GT, which always reminded me of my neighbor's MKZ.
current Mustang:

MKZ has same vents on metal trim plates, even double "hump" dash. Too similar:
I prefer the new style round and square vents, like my old '67:

WOW! I LOVE the new interior. Audio controls, improved steering wheel, contrast stitching, more shiny things, room for bigger better nav and overall higher quality looks. Its a winner in my book. Best yet! Now if they would bring back Screaming Yellow in a Boss or Mach, it's mine mine mine!!!
