WTF??? And you are in Michigan?? It's like the friggen twilight zone. Does this guy not realize what has happened to the Michigan economy over the past 40 years? Guys like him drove people to give Honda and Toyota a chance.

Cancel your order and buy from a dealer who cares. WHAT A DISGRACE!

Whenever I call Ford CS I give them the last update IN DETAIL that I got from my dealer's VV so they know that I know that they know. Then they give me a bit more detail. "Dan" at Ford CS is a pain won't even tell you the timestamp of your last status update.

i shoulda waited for job2. If my car doesn't ship by the end of next week I will try to cancel and see if I can get a yellow blaze gt.
Obsessing about the car will not make it arrive any quicker.

I'm going to write you a prescription: Take a vacation from your problems.

VIN internet sleuthing

Update: Added another VIN

I am off today and tomorrow. So this morning I did some inventory search of the
local Ford dealers to get a feel for 2011 Mustangs on the lot and the associated
build dates. Great that they post the window sticker with that build date too.

As of 6/24/2010

1ZVBP8AMXB5133663 built 6/14 Dealer D

1ZVBP8CF0B5133671 built 6/15 Dealer A GT 5.0 Manual Coupe
1ZVBP8CF2B5133672 built 6/15 Dealer A GT 5.0 Manual Coupe
1ZVBP8CF4B5133673 built 6/15 Dealer A GT 5.0 Manual Coupe

133682 built 6/9 GT 5.0 Manual Coupe tagged for E Ford II
Mine 133683 built 6/15 Car limbo GT 5.0 Manual Coupe
133684 built 6/14 My dealer GT 5.0 Auto Coupe ordered right after mine, not delivered

1ZVBP8AM1B5133714 built 6/14 Dealer B GT 5.0 Auto Convertible
1ZVBP8CF7B5133716 built 6/15 Dealer B GT 5.0 Manual Coupe
1ZVBP8FF4B5133717 built 6/15 Dealer B GT 5.0 Manual Coupe

1ZVBP8AM0B5133719 built 6/15 Dealer C GT 5.0 Coupe

I went to dealer B and visually verified the vehicles were on the lot.
Dealer A says the vehicles are indeed in stock (phone call.) So I
took a drive over to my dealers inventory lot and looked around - nothing.
Then drove to the dealership lot and looked around - nothing.

I wonder where my car is at? All the above dealers are within 10 miles
of my dealer. And mine is one of the larger dealers too.

OK, so I get back home and plug my complete VIN into Google and
up pops a for sale ad on cars.com. Uh huh. I call the salesman and
he says all his dealership vehicles show up on cars.com.

This was the perfect weekend too. 4 days off, no wife at home.

UPDATE:

My car (131408) was moved from Ramp 51 to Ramp 5P today. I have no idea what Ramp 5P is for...is that any closer to being loaded on the train?

Yes, it is, you lucky dog. Do you know what time it was moved?

My car moved from 51 to 5p around 5/20. Just to put it in perspective.

It musta been some time around 1pm central. That is when my sales guy sent me a text with the update.

So saying I avoid the game of offsite ping-pong that allot of cars are playing, I'm guessing July 2nd is looking like a reasonable ETA?

Mine is 129740 and was built on 6/11. Called Ford CS today and they said mine was in transit. My salesman is off on Thursdays so I hope to get a hold of him tomorrow to get some detailed tracking info.

Probably not. It takes about 10 days from "shipped" to "delivered".

There's a chance you could get returned to plant or sent offsite like me (I was sitting at Ramp 5P for a few days before I got bounced back). But it's definitely better than Ramp 51.

Now I'm officially PISSED!

So far I’ve been patiently waiting for my car since its original eta of April28, I know it’s not the Dealer’s fault and since I’m not the only one, wasn’t going to slam Ford needlessly. Now obviously I’m aware since I’ve driven two 2011 Gt’s already, that Mustangs are being delivered to my state. But, something about witnessing two Haulers with seven Mustangs stacked on them traveling in the opposite direction on the freeway today, just rubbed me the wrong way.

For a little perspective, Ford started building 2011 models sometime mid March, right? It took Ford two days to complete my car, which was about a month after production began, my exact dates were April 13-14. So, from that point to now, Ford could not fix and ship my car? What a mess.

I agree, that is a ridiculous amount of time to fix and ship a car... so much for the oldest to newest policy.

I'm in the same boat as you. The scheduled build date of mine was 4/15 and my new ETA is 7/15. Three months? Really?!

That's exactly the issue I had with the process: Built in 2 days... can't be fixed in over a month??? All this talk about "quality" and "final inspections" while the line continues to produce flawed cars that sit or good cars that get shipped right out. Ordering a car is a crap shoot. You just never know what's going to turn up. And when you see cars being delivered while yours sits with no explanation, it's very, very frustrating.

What really baffles me is why Ford doesn't fix the problems on the line instead of waiting till AFTER the car is made to fix it. What are they thinking? My car was built well after the plethora of problems was discovered yet it's been sitting offsite for almost a week now. Some people who had theirs built a week after I did already have gotten theirs!

RIGHT NOW I WOULD BE THRILLLLLLLLLED WITH A JULY 15 ETA. How sad is that?

Guys really cancel those orders already. Hell I wouldnt want a car that was tossed around like a dirty ho for months anyway. Re-order or tell them to get bent if you can live without it.

My Mustang is finally on the way. My sales manager says it should be here about July 5-6. Too bad I won't have it on July 4th, I could have set the gauge color, halo color, and ambient lighting to red, white, and blue for the day.

Finally got a copy of the Vehicle Visibility, still not further updates since May-14-2010...

I will be a Camaro owner tonight. Wish everyone else waiting for their 2011 Mustang the best of luck

For anyone in the Chester County PA area interested in a 2011 Grabber Blue GT, see Matthews Paoli Ford in a week or two.

I purchased a 5.0 yesterday as it rolled off the delivery truck. It was assembled around the 14th of June based on reviewing the previous posts. I wouldn't wait for some old order when it is possible to find virtually any configuration out there. Incidentally mine is a base 6-speed with 3.73s in gray. However, the base GT's are scarce i found from my hunting.

Ordered my car on 4/20, built on 6/17.

Spoke with my salesman today, who tells me that my car is in transit, and may be here late next week.

VIN is 134820
