Either way, they won't know know what a Pinto is.

Have you seen Yellow Blaze in person? I'd hate to see you cancel this order, place a new order, then a month later see Yellow Blaze and decide you don't like it. Then you'll cancel that order and make out a new one. By the time that 2011 finally gets built, they'll be gearing up to start making 2012's, which will make you question whether you should take that 2011 or cancel it and order a 2012. I'm not trying to bust your chops, but sometimes it's best to make a decision and stick with it.

Stick with it, Joker, my car took a month before it finally shipped out, and look at Corvettedreaming, his took even longer, but he has it now.

Offsite took almost 5 days for me, others it took a week or more. I know it's a little maddening, I'm getting anxious myself, it'll be ten weeks exactly when my car arrives at the dealership and I pick it up (order went in on the 19th, but I had put the order in on the Saturday before). Just remember that reordering is pretty likely to just make it take longer, especially with your current order already built.

Oh, by the way, for those in process and calling Ford CS, Ford does their weekly build scheduling job either Wednesday or Thursday and it takes a while as I recall, and a bit of time to propagate through the system. I generally found the best time to call them about it for getting the VIN or the Build Date to be Friday afternoon.

Thanks Lancel. Did your car go offsite multiple times? This is my car's third time offsite. The other times it was returned within a few hours. The fact it's been 4+ days maybe means this is the last "offsite" status?

I think CD's went offsite twice, was it? As far as I know, my car only went off offsite once, but keep in mind that your car was already due to go offsite at least once to install the Glass Roof. I don't know about these other two offsite outings, but one of them was certainly for that.

Montreal Ponies sent me his history. He also had a glass roof installed and his car never went off site, not even once.

The sales manager refused to look my car up on VV stating "it's too much work". Obviously he doesn't know he has a service-oriented job.

Remind him that the customer satisfaction survey you get 3 weeks after buying the car takes a lot of work to give good marks. . .

That little survey is important to the salesman and the dealership.

I HIGHLY recommend the getting drunk with friends. As long as you just don't bring up your car the nights go faster. I started playing Blur and a new PS3 Store game called Hampsterball. (It's like Super Monkey Ball on crack)

Videogames, alcohol, and friends help the time go by much faster.

When did you order again? Seems like it's been a while, have you even gotten a VIN yet?

Oh, and about the sales guys and VV, it's going to depend entirely on his access privileges. My sales guy generally takes about 24 hours to get back to me with an update on where it is, just because he doesn't have access to the system himself. He has to go through someone else to get it, who is often busy with other things, so it's not so much working with the system itself, it's the amount of red tape they have to cut through to get the information.

6/2 was my order date, I'm assuming its taking so long to get a VIN because I missed the retail order verification If I don't have it by next Friday (they told me it would be built next week) then I'm gonna be sad

Every time they see Joker on here whining, they send that car off-site.

Then, it comes back on-site, and gets ready to ship.

Then, they catch him whining again....................off it goes.

This is what my dealer had to go through. The day my car shipped out on rail the guy wasn't even in, nobody at the dealership could look it up.
