Don't waste your time. I contacted the Surgeon General about those stupid cigarette warnings being all blown out of proportion since I smoked and never got cancer. Can you believe it? They aren't going to remove them!

There is an OLD TSB for loose bolts. and another to reduce shifting in cold climates and ONLY for owners who just prefer less shift effort. It has nothing to do with grinding, broken teeth, complete failure to engage. No big deal. A lot of people make the same mistake you did because they just pick up on internet snippets and then jump to wrong conclusions.

^^^this.
I'll start by saying that I really dont have a dog in this fight since I've yet to order my 5.0.
Having said that, the liberal news media has got to drooling at the chance to take a shot at a company that said "no thank you" to bail-out money and made some tough decisions (plant closings, layoffs, ect.) to save THEMSELVES.
Have faith; Ford will find a fix for these transmission problems. Until then, try and take a little comfort in the fact that they are under warranty.

just my $.02

Someone admits they'll report a problem - lie through their teeth - and you think it's a show of solidarity?

What does that make you if you celebrate when a liar joins your cause?

Look I've got not problems with you guys trying to get an issue fixed. That's fine. But I think getting an ABC 20/20 is a bit excessive. Why, you might ask? Because the issue may not be a Ford problem. You might be expecting too much, or you may not know how to drive the car properly, etc. There could be a ton of different reasons why yours is not performing like you want. Who knows

I do know that if I had as many problems as you guys claim to have I would have traded that thing in a LONG time ago
I dont have a dog in this fight but let me give you my observations from watching this. First off, these cars have taken a resale hit already no matter if ABC does a show or not. The Mustang community is plugged in my friend. Second, Im happy as I can be for those not having any issues but you have to wonder if long term durability is effected. I know I sure as heck do.

This is a Ford problem. I dont care who make what where Ford is the one who sold the cars and approved the engineering. If ABC tarnishes their reputation then so be it. The days of screwing over the little guy are over. They have had plenty of time to fix this issue and all they want to do it put a band aid on it. They have brought this on their self imo.

I wish everybody a successful outcome because I know how I would feel even if I had a working transmission.

I really am done with this topic, but since a few more people quoted me I'll say this one last thing.

I hear what you're saying, but I really don't see the issue being as big of a deal as you guys do. It's my opinion, take it how you will. Good luck.

Oh great, I guess I should have traded in my car before now!

Even though mine is fine, it'll be tainted like a rear-ended Pinto!

It is difficult to deduce who is more disingenuous, you or the other liar.

Forgive my cockyness.

Unfortunately, even if there is no major news coverage, that has already happened. Have you checked with anybody to see what your car is worth these days?

Anybody doing serious research on these cars already knows about possible issues. Dealers know about it too.

That damage is already done.

I'm sure why you have such a problem with this? Some people are having a lot of problems and Ford is doing almost nothing to address these problems. Dealerships recognize the problem but unless Ford gives them the go ahead to fix or deal with these problems their hands are tied.

Getting big media coverage is about the only way these big corps. will finally stop dodging the issue(s) and do something about it.
Bravo to the guys who kept pushing this issue and got someone to take notice!

How is Ford doing almost nothing when they replaced the op of all these threads four times? Four transmissions and all screwed means not a trans problem. Very sorry everyone who is having problems are having them, but they are trying. Jmatero may have something as simple as a misaligned/mismounted engine causing it to operate at some odd angle. Maybe a tweaked motor mount knowbody thinks to check. Who knows. Let them look at it and disconnect your Internet. It isn't going to fix it for you either.

Is ABC paying you to post this on all the forums? The media never treats Ford fairly, I wouldn't talk to anyone at ABC if I had a 2011-12.

Well said.....even though i'm not experiencing some of the more serious problems some are having, i'm getting this 1-2 notchiness-grinding at times and it is annoying. I know how to get around it, but it just doesn't feel right. And YES i've been driving manuals for 28 years now. But don't get me wrong here, i LOVE this car, really, but the way Ford handled some of the cases is definately not customer oriented.
