What are you guys doing for storing your new mustang. Im up North and have to leave the car in the garage till spring. I have a battery tender on it, but my main question is starting it up warming it for a 1/2 hr with 28 miles on it is more harmful than just leaving it alone...

Think about it that's what the dealers do. leave them for months before someone buys it....

Your instinct seems right...I wouldn't start it. Mine won't move until spring which kills me because I only put 150 miles on it so far. I want to hear that 5.0 come to life but it's only a few more months. Fuel stabilizer and battery maintainer. I have been storing another car this same way December through March going on 12 years now. No side effects so far. I do an oil change in the spring but I'm not sure what to do on the new one with regard to this.

How far did they have to take it for that price?

Call me crazy, but

I am only 5 miles from the dealership, I did not want to drive it on the salted roads. $75, $25 tip... well worth every penny.

Thanks JohnX3... I have been spend my nights on YouTube watching videos on mustangs. Some fun stuff for sure... haven't driven my car at all except for backing it out of the garage. Spring can't get here soon enough.

Ok...you're crazy. Is your plan to park the car and never drive it or just drive it on sunny days?

Crappy days are for my F150, but I plan on driving the crap out of the stang come dry roads. That's around April here.

I did an Internet search and there are a couple articles saying it is closed until January 21st....that stinks....

Ford said Friday that its Flat Rock Assembly Plant — home to the Mustang and Fusion — will be down until Jan. 21. Ford already idled the Flat Rock plant for a week this month

Talked with my sales guy...he said that Ford will still begin picking up orders next week so mine should still be on schedule...most likely no later than end of March, which is fine as I don't drive mine in winter or in rain.

Don't have AAA? I've utilized them for towing several times(I have the plan where they'll tow me 100 miles for free).
