Rather than storing it in the garage, I have gone the "cruel master" route. Threw Michelin X-Ice tires on mine and have been driving every day since I got it a month and a half ago. I make sure to take it to the touchless frequently now that they have started to throw salt down on the road.

I finally got my order number from the dealer. Hopefully Ill get some good news on the car now.

 

That's good, now Deysha should be able to track it for you. She just let me know mine was put on a rail car today with a new ETA to the dealership of 12/25/13.

 

Here's a better pic. Went over early before they opened. Asked them not to drive the car to fill the tank. The roads are SALT covered. Made flat bed arraignments for $100

 

Is one drive in salt that serious? I'm asking as I don't ever see salt here. If one drive in it damages car what do people do living in places where they salt roads all winter. ??

 

No it won't kill me, but have you ever driven in the snow with summer tires. You wont go anywhere. Not to mention crashing a new car would suck.

I live in MI and they use what seems like 10 times more salt than they need to. The roads turn white and there is almost a mist of salt in the air, traffic kicks it up. It coats your vehicle, every little nook and cranny, horribly.

Any metal that is not stainless or painted will begin to rust.

It's just a PITA to deal with and clean.

I placed My order for a 2014 GT w/ track pack, recaros, Sterling Grey, back on 11/25 I cant wait to go for a cruze. I currently own Three '80s T-top GTs, a 1970 Fastback.


My question is when is the ford xmas shutdown and how long is that?

 

I ordered Nov 18th. We picked bad time I think Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years.

I agree with RubyRedMCA_Beast, it looks great. And, I'm sure pics don't do the color justice. Now that you have it, you'll probably see nothing but IS Mustangs. It always works that way.

 

Ordered my premium black gt - 401a - track pack - glass roof - shaker pro - rear sens - rear cam - electronic package on December 1st! Cant wait until it gets built and arrives.... I think its gonna be sweet. Havent had the chance to drive a track pack stang as yet, so my new ride will be my first ride! I was torn on getting the recaro's... in the end decided not to since im in Canada and the winters need a butt warmer, also thought they were too bulky and didn't fit the car.... I also had a tough time between choosing a white or graphite grey car, but in the end went for the classic black, just like my 97 gt, which was my first car and I loved! Got a great deal too, under invoice, hope the deal gets better when it lands now that the 15's have been shown.... Cant wait, super excited!

 

I wasn't thinking about the holidays when I ordered. LOL This is the first NEW car I have ever ordered. I am so excited!
