Ordered my Mustang on Monday and I already got my VIN!!! Funny how that really just made my day; thanks Deysha! I look forward to the next little step when I find out my ETA to the dealer.

Does anyone know how long after you get the VIN can you get the window sticker?

 

Took about a week to get mine I just checked the link every few days.

 

The only way this can happen is if you know someone up top and gained very high priority. How can you get yours before everyone else unless this is the case?

 

not necessarily, it has a lot to do with dealer allocation numbers.

14gt14, I'm not sure... I met my salesman at the dealership for the first time on Monday when I ordered the Mustang and I don't know anyone at Ford. My dealer called me last night to tell me they started the build and they have me as a priority 10, so maybe that's why. It seems to me based on other posts and threads that it has a lot to do with the relationship between the dealer and big Ford. I guess I just got luckier than others. I'm definitely not going to complain... either way, someday soon you and I both will be cruizin the streets in our amazing machines and were going to look like this...

 

I just hope something doesnt happen and my dealer doesnt have enough allocation and mine doesnt get built. Its just so close to the end of the MY14 production run.

Deysha/Anyone - When I ordered my GT, since I wanted the glass roof option I was told I couldn't order the stripe from the factory... In my agreement with the dealer they will be installing the stripe upon delivery (minus the roof of course)... my worry is that they will be using an aftermarket stripe kit (which is fine) but I want it to be the exact dimensions of the single GT stripe you can view on the Build-a-Ford page. Does anyone know or could you measure the width of the stripe, pin stripes on either side and the distance from the main stripe? Ive searched high and low on the internet and though I find many options on aftermarket parts catalogs, they all come in multiple options of width. Can anyone put me at ease and let me know the Ford factory stripe measurements so I can ensure my dealer installs what I want? Thanks!

Question for Deysha: If I were to walk into a dealership today to order a 2014 GT, are there any options that are not available anymore? Any colors that have been discontinued? I think you've confirmed at Grabber Blue and Gotta Have It Green are gone, correct? Any others?

So far, it’s Grabber Blue, and no more GT500s, tvrbob. Your dealer will have the most up to date info.

It varies, JCStang. As I mentioned in my PM to you, yours will be up around 2/5/14.

My dealer told me that my car was ordered last Thursday the 23rd, but cannot provide me with the Vehicle Order Confirmation. Is there any way to get the VOC other than through the dealer? Does it take a week or so to generate the VOC? I thought it would have been immediately.
