Order Bank Opening date has changed!!!
As you all know, I've been scowering for any info on the 2011 order guides. So I decide to go into the Fleet Distribution News Bulletin. This is the newest one, dated 11/13/2009 (which was this past Friday). Ford has changed the date for when the 2011 Order Banks open for Mustangs. Thge previous date that was listed on the past FDNB that I posted in the original post, as being 11/23/2009. Well, if you click on the link below you can see the date has been changed to 1/18/2010!
Sort of sad news, but kinda expected, as they will probably put on a big show at both LA (where the motors will debut) and in Detroit, where they will have this car shine and tell everyone when you can place an order for one. Sorry to be the berror of bad news, but it is what it is. Sorry everyone.

You're a good man, Jeff. I'm kinda disappointed only the motors will be launched at LA, with the actual car at Detroit as I'm anxious to see if there are any trim/facia changes (I'm a sucker for detail).
Still, this way, Ford gets to keep the 5.0 in the headlines for longer. And after all the teaser shots leading up to the launch of the '10, we're used to waiting

Thanks for the info- as always, you are on top of things. I'm kind of happy that the order bank open date has been shifted to after the car debuts. I want to see what I'm ordering before I order it. As for Detroit, that's perfect for me. I fly up for the show every year. If I like what I see, I can place my order when I get home and have a big, bad 302 in time for summer.

Jeff - Thanks for the info. I am new here and just registered trying to get all the info I can on the 2011 GT and boy this sure does seem like a great car and kudos to ford!! Can you send me a PM with information on the pricing you sell these cars at? I am located in Atlanta, GA and will be in the market towards the 3rd Q of 2010 as that is when the lease on my 2008 Maxima SE will only have 2 months left and I will be replacing it with a GT.

Todd, I looked on your profile, and I can't send you a PM as of yet. I believe it has to do with your post count, since your new. My email address is below. Shoot me an email, or if you want, give me a call at the number in my signature. I'll be happy to help you out. Talk to you soon.

50%
Okay, maybe not 50%, but Ford is going to need some incredible incentives to sell the remaining new 2010's. I personally stopped ordering new 2010 Mustang for our dealership a couple months ago in anticipation, but we still have more 2010's on our lot than I think we can sell before the 2011's start arriving.

Sounds about right.
But you always lose a big chuck of money the first year of ownership.
I had a Buick a few years ago that lost $15K the first year.
Private sale will do better.
