2011 MY order bank open date, Job #1 date & 2010 MY End Date!!!! IMPORTANT INFO!!!
The more I look at the GT350, the more I like it. Extensive upgrades everywhere on the car, so the $34K upgrade isn't as bad a deal as I initially thought. Still way out of my league, though.
I'll be interested to see if any GT350's get flogged at the track and how the stock internals hold up to the boost. This could be the real world testing the rest of us need who may buy an '11 GT with the hopes of supercharging it later.

Eh. I don't hate the GT350 like most on here do. Even the price, while mostly being FRPP parts, it's what I expected from Shelby Auto. But I think they could have done better on the body mods. And not made the car look so obnoxious with all the vinyl decals and emblems.

I think if I ordered my car the way I want it, minus the Glass Roof (which is basically the option I want the most after sitting a car with it) then I would be fine with the pricing if I could get 1% over invoice or around there. I figure that I could always have the CDC Glassback or Saleen Glass Roof installed post-title. Many 05-09 owners have done that. OR...I could get everything minus the Brembo package and then add the brakes and wheels/tires later. I really want to see if the Brembo pack includes the 3.73s and what suspension changes are included first though.
EDIT: Looks like I'm about a page late lol

Lol see. And for the content that is included as standard for about the same price on the Camaro and Chally, it makes me mad Brembos aren't standard. Gears should be a no cost option. I am willing to pay for Glass Roof, Navi and Comfort, but I think the Brembos should be standard on the GT (with that $1250 increase!).
Picked up my 2005 GT today from the service dept. While it was in there I stopped by sales and asked them when I could order my 2011. They spent some time checking and said, NOT YET! They took my number and told me that they would be calling.
HAS ANYONE BEEN ABLE TO ORDER YET???

Would the average driver who is not racing even notice the difference? Most people who buy a Mustang GT want a fast car but they aren't going to ever put it on a race track. I haven't heard too many complaints from people with existing Mustangs complaining that the brakes are inadequate for non-racing purposes.
I think we need to remember the main reason the 2011 GT did not get the Brembos standard: It didn't NEED them. Many many hours of testing was done on the brakes and it was likely determined based on power, weight, and handling charactersitics that the bigger brakes were not needed to safely bring the car to a stop. 13.2 inch rotors were determined to be sufficient. The Camaro on the other hand was a different story. So I sort of don't think it's fair to say that the Mustang is deficient for not having the Brembos standard.
I don't think comparing their standard feature list to ours is fair. Yes, they get Brembos, but they don't get the aux. gauges on the dash/center stack until you go to a 2SS, which is well above a GT Premium. The stereo isn't as good, and a few other things are different. Add the Brembo package in, and it's a fair game. Besides, the Brembo pkg is more than just the brakes.
Very ture. And to be honest, the main reason I want to get the Brembo package is because of the wheels. It's the widest (9") that we can get from the factory and is probably what all GT's should come with, along with wider tires. But that's another story.

. Guess he has to order in white then huh?
