2011 MY order bank open date, Job #1 date & 2010 MY End Date!!!! IMPORTANT INFO!!!
While the Brembos may be great, I am gona stick with the stockers due to the "summer only" tires and the extra $$$. 13.2" is significantly larger than before anyway, and are close enough to the Brembos that most will not even notice the differance.
It's the 4 pot calipers and (probably stainless) lines that make the difference. The rotor size increase does help fight fade and gives the calipers a larger surface area to grab, but they are still twin-piston calipers.
That being said, for the street the 2010 GT brakes fine enough, and I'm sure the upgraded 11 GT brakes will be fine as well. I like the Brembos for the look and the wheel/tire package that comes with it. Plus, I do plan on driving my car pretty spirited so the better fade-resistance would be worth it to me.

The 19x9 wheels and bigger clamps on the front are worth the $1600. I'm definitely going to do it. I'd expect the best times too with the summer tires and slightly wider meats on the corners to tear up a track.
I wonder how late in the year will be too late to get in an order for a 2011 GT? I'm ridiculously excited about getting a GT this year, more excited than I've ever been about buying a car. I might need counseling. I've been searching every day for new info. I can't responsibly order or buy until summer though...maybe late summer, because we may move this summer and we need to get that straightened out before buying a car. I'll probably drive my wife crazy before we actually buy.
Well, it's an extended year so you should have plenty of time. Also, you might be able to find one on a Dealer's lot for a good price.

Hey Skotty, where are you located at? I read your dealership thread and if you live anywhere near Pennsylvania, drop me a PM and we can chat about pricing out a Mustang for you. This way you can get a general idea on numbers and when the time is right, I'll be happy to order one for you. Even if your far away, Ford allows drop-shipments to dealers. You buy from PA but the car is shipped to a dealer near you and you pay the dealership a "courtesy delivery" fee for their prep and detail job. Let me know, as I'll be glad to help.
can you still do this "drop shipment" and do trade ins?

Can you do this drop shipment process out of state? How much would it be to ship the car? Is it possible to not have the dealer detail the car? Hey btw Jeff, I sent you a PM this morning!
You can ask a dealer not to detail a car. It's a bit odd, but those of us who do true detailing (no offense to the dealers that do it) don't want our brand new car ran through a crappy car wash and left alone.
I've asked dealers to do the interior, but not the outside. I bring them home and do a full clay, polish (very light), sealant, and wax and they'll never look better.

Hey Patrick, I got your PM and printed it. Thanks very much. Yes, drop shipment can be done and doesn't cost anything to do. You just pay the dealer you picking the car up from a fee for the "courtesy delivery" as they prep the car and clean it and fuel it. And I'm gonna PM you soon to answer your questions in your PM you sent to me.
You only pay the selling dealer for the car and any paperwork fees (if any). Once you have the car (and the MSO) in your possession in your home state, you need to go to your DMV and pay them whatever sales tax and licensing is due to them.
Yes my state charges for tags, but it only somewhat related to the value of the car.
When a car is current year new the amount would be about 1.8% of the stripped base model before shipping.
It is not based on the sale price of the car.
If you buy a new fully warrantied 2006 GT coupe loaded leftover at a dealership for $29K tomorrow (or any 2006 GT coupe)...
You pay less than $250 for tags.
