I would definitely wait for the 2011. Resale value of the 2010 will be much like the 96-98 era I think which was eclipsed by the 99 with more power. No one wants a 96-98 anymore.

The price might be a bit higher, but I can't see anything dramatic. It still has to stay competetive.

remember there was also a significant body style change with the 98 to 99 model. I think for most used buyers it wont really matter exactly which engine is under the hood between a 2010 and 2011. only the enthusiasts will know the difference and they will choose appropriately.

Order now or order later or pick one off the lot.

Decisions decisions.

Only 3 days downtime between EOP 2010MY and SOP 2011MY? Seems a little short to me.

Why do people continue to throw around the Direct Injection stuff? Neither engine will be DI.

Chevy boys had their summer of fun. Next summer is the summer of the Mustang once again. Too bad the Camaro's only uncontested summer was filled with under powered cars and full of broken parts. Could not even get a few good months being top dog. This will be the Mustang of Mustangs to date both V6 and GT! Come on April!

I was under the impression that the 3.7 was going to use DI.

Seems to be on target, given that the biggest change is going to be powertrains. The rest of the car build should be similar.

Long time lurker, finally decided to sign up and post. This info was exactly what I needed to hear. I'll be getting rid of my Mazdaspeed6 and getting a 2011 GT sometime next year.

So, my question is, with the first day of orders coming before the LA Auto Show, could we be seeing a press release sometime that week to make the new powertrains official?

Oh, and from sources inside AAI, they've been building 2011 tests all week.

I stopped in at the local Ford dealer today and drove a GB 2010 GT with the Track Pack, now I just need to be patient...

Does anyone know how much the 2011 stangs are going to cost? Are the specs that we know of just rumors or set in stone?
