It does seem the lines and creases are much sharper than they appear to be through the CAMO.

I am liken it.

BUT, is that cowel a working induction system or is it just for looks.

Given the Mustang setup of the intake system for the last 15-20 years. I would say looks only. Cowl induction pretty much died when EFI took over. Typically the breathing element is pretty far from the cowl.
