Six Speed would be nice making a close ratio 1-5 then make 6th a tall OD for good MPG. 3.73's please... As far as engine goes Ford would be ok if they can somehow get 350-360 hp next year. Probably not gonna happen in 2010 though. Sales might be a little slow anyway due to slow economy.
On a lighter note.... Gas is $2.54 a gallon here in Indianapolis today!

 

They bumped the hp on the F150 to 310hp on the 5.4 but are offering the old 4.6 at 248hp matted to a 4spd automatic as well as the 4.6 3v at 295hp both the 3v and the 5.4 are matted to a 6spd auto with OD, not much in hp but with the 6spd the MPG is supposed to be better but we'll see...

 

Why do you say that? The Camaro launch is in several months. Money at this point has to be made on sales, which would not happen if there was an abrupt cancellation.

 

Everyone seems to think that the mustang having significantly less power than the camaro is going to hurt sales for 2010. I don't think it will. I'm sure most of the people buying the camaro next year aren't going to be looking at a mustang (they've been waiting 3+ years to get this camaro), and they will probably have a long back order sheet for the first few months (year?). Then the newness of the camaro will eventually wear off, and then....5.0. and the mustang will have nearly the same power.
Yes I know magazines are going to rip the stang apart next year, but who cares. I'm not trading in until summer 2011 anyway.

 

If anything, it'll be all over for the Challenger, and not the Camaro !

 

Correct. In this scenario, GM is the daddy. If this happens, then I can see Chrysler becoming a division of GM. In 5 years, the only thing left will be Jeep. The same thing happened in the '80's when Renault sold AMC to Chrysler.

 

^ that's right. It's nothing new for the automotive industry to buy each other and slowly kill some divisions/brands. That reduces competitors.

 

Shifter is bare metal, it gets warm in the summer sun and **** cold so far this fall. That said, I love it. It fits my hand perfect!
