Yep. They tried, but that recirculate button is shared w/ the Flex, F150, and several other Ford products. It would have required a unique EFP ( Electronic Finish Panel ) which would have been more $ on Mustang since it is common on all other Fords

The trac control/hazard/trunk buttons though are unique for Mustang.

So I guess there's no use in complaining they didnt give an exterior shot! In fact, they gave two. You just had to look.

Today I Read In An Article On The New Camaro In The November Issue Of Motor Trend, That GM Didn't Even Make Provisions For The Camaro To Have A Nav System, Even Though They Were Working With A Clean Sheet.

The Mustang Is Going To Be SO FAR AHEAD Of THE CAMARO In Terms Of Creature Comforts and Perceived Sophistication! It's Gonna Have An Optional Nav System, Dual Zone Climate Control AC, Automatic Headlights. Real Aluminum On The Dash, Steering Wheel, and Shifter, And A Soft Touch Instrument Panel and Interior Trim.

Not To Mention Second Generation My Color, With Dual Color "Halo" Guage Lighting, and My Color Matching Illuminated Sill Plates. I'm Not Sure But I'm Assuming That The Ambient Lighting Will Be Tied In With That As Well, Which Would Be Really Cool. Imagine Scrolling Through The Colors As You See All Those Things Changing Color Around The Interior Of Your Car.

The Down Side Of The Article Was They Said They Would Rather Spend The Money On Things Like Surgically Precise Steering and Burbon Smooth Six Speed Transmissions.

Has anyone noticed depending on what picture you are looking at the order of the buttons next to the shifter changes?

In one the hazard in in the middle in another it is on the bottom.

He's right. This:

Versus this:

The first image appears to not only have the buttons in a different order, but also has generic icons for the trunk release and traction control buttons, rather than Mustang-specific versions.

The high-rez image looks legit, its possible the low-rez is a pre-production version or maybe someone at Ford photoshopped the buttons on the first one to hide the mustang-specific stuff for awhile.

Actually, If You Look Real Close at the Super Hi Res Pic You Can See That The Image Has Been Photoshoped On The Button. It's Really Clear On The Hazzard Button. There Is A Square Black Area Around The Red Triangle That Is A Slightly Different Shade Than The Rest of The Button.

Even so, if the "generic" buttons were photoshopped in, they'd need removed for this new picture. It's possible the slightly different shade around the hazard button is the actual photo, which they darkened for the generic button pic. Either way, whoever did it is not a good Photoshopper.

I asked my friend @ Ford's Design and he says he thinks all the prototype cars when this picture was taken had the old buttons in them from another Ford ( so no one could see the back end tailamps or the hip.) He says the latest prototype cars he's seen have the correct "Mustang" buttons.

So I am not sure which is which, but the "Mustang" buttons are for real. Let's see if anyone can get a good shot of em through a window.

And based on the Traction control button with the Mustang Icon the Candy stripe tail lights are for real as well.

And I Wasn't Questioning If The Mustang Specific Buttons Were For Real gnat-sum
. I Was Just Thinking Maybe They Were A Last Minute Detail That The Designers Added After These Glamor Shots Were Taken. It Just Shows The Attention To Detail That The Designers Put Into The 2010.

Hey Man, Sorry if I missed that post but I get a few minutes here and there to breeze through and make a few comments in between taking care of my little girl. I hope repeating somebody else will not stop the world.

and I wasn't picking on your either TampaBear. Just offering a different possibility of why the images are different. I apologize if it was taken that way.

Either way, these Mustang buttons are freakin cool and you are right it does show the attention to detail the designer put into the 2010 Stang.

Hey gnat-sum, I Took No Offense To Anything. I Was Just Replying To Brewman's Post About Missing RMac's Post. Sorry If Anyone Got Offended. I Try To Keep Things Friendly, So If I Say Or Post Anything That Hurts Anyone's Feelings Forgive Me. It Is Completely Unintentional.
