It does make sense. Heritage = 302 = 5.0h baby! I bet this is what they were talking about revealing @ the detroit auto show!

I don't think they'd reveal the 5.0 yet though... it could potentially kill sales for the 2010MY

I'd think its the Shelby personally

So that's why there's no real mention of it? Maybe just a Shelby 5.0 GT? That would suck.

I've said this 1000 times already, I wouldn't get your hopes up for a 5.0L in 2010MY
its still a ways off, and will be ready for 2011MY

The Shelby however, hasn't been shown yet, so ... draw your own conlusions

I know, its just that if they are releasing the 2010 by March, that makes the model year run last for a year and a half. Who's to say they dont release the 5.0 by December 2009? Or March 2010?

Thats what I am betting, the 5.0 will become an option midway+ during the 2010 swing.

Ok, IF the 2010 is a LONG (by long... i mean over 1.5 years) then yes I could see this,
but it would still be too early. They want sales now, not people to wait 1 year.

I don't think the 5L stars production till LATE 09/early 10
So if the 2010MY runs from Job1 dec08/jan09 to well into 2010 (past May 2010)

I seriously think we won't see it (for various reasons) till 2011MY in early 2010 Calendar Year,
meaning you won't see the 5L till the 2011MY cars, earliest, March 2010.

Thats fine by me as I will be putting my money down in the Fall of 2009 at the earliest. Or should I say until the 5.0 is released?

I doubt the 2011 MY will start until fall of 2010 to get back on track with what normally transpires.
