The one good thing about having the money in cash to buy the new car will be that I will have time to swap my stuff over like the brakes, seats... Gauge overlay if I get a 96-98... Since it looks like my gauges are indeed for a 4.6... Not my car...

My RPM gauge with the Simcos goes to 8k. 94-95 gauges only go to 7k.

Not really... The bottom of the New Edge cluster is all digital vs the mechanical odometer/trip meter. As well as having a low fuel light. I don't know what is different of the rest of the orientation, but I know it is definitely not "the same."
