Getting parts for the 'Stang = The MM pieces are nice. Does the SFC/X-brace allow enough room for servicing the exhaust and drive shaft after it's installed?

Thanks.

I'm hoping I can put the control arms on tomorrow... Who knows though. I heard you have to do something with taking off the E-brake cable to install the arms... I'm not sure how much I want to dive into it tomorrow.

Awesome stuff! I look forward to hearing how it is once you get it installed.

The best part about MM is that they have an exchange program, so that if you want different control arms they will give you some credit on yours. So if I get a 99-04 there is nothing to worry about.

Hopefully installing the shifter tonight. After this week I should have enough time to start putting some time into getting stuff on the car.

So I just put the shifter on tonight, and so far it's just an eh mod. I wasn't really expecting a night and day difference like some claim to feel. Just some sort of difference. The good part is that this has great centering springs, and more importantly to me; it has completely eliminated my shifter shaking noise. The in gear play is also highly reduced as well, which is nice, but even for the price I got it at... I dunno. Last awesome thing about the MGW is that it is adjustable in height, and 360 degrees which easily puts it exactly where you want it. I'm not really sure where I stand with it so far. I'll haveto chime back in in a week or so after I'm used to the weight of the shifter.

I wish I could bring my shifter back about 3 inches, the shift to 5th is a little bit of a stretch.

This may be one of the last posts in this thread. I found a 2000 GT last week, and I'm going to pick it up tomorrow night. It's bright atlantic blue with dark charcoal interior and a five speed.

I will post more when I know more.

wow....... I love bright atlantic blue. Its my favorite color as you can see. I'm very surprised you found a GT that color. I have only seen two, it must be quite rare. Awesome buy, and I'm very jealous.

Nope. Unfortunately, part of the deal with my dad about getting a new car included getting rid of the old one. I'm sure I will miss it, but it definitely has it's quirks that I will not mind not having in a much newer car.

I was really interested in buying a Laser Red GT that I found with the whole MM package on it. But once I found this car in BAB I fell in love, and not having all the suspension stuff done to it didn't matter as much.

Yeah, I've seen 2 New Edges in this color total, and neither GTs, so I'm pretty stoked about it being so rare. Only 2.47% of 2000's were painted BAB, and that is including V6s.

Definitely. The seats are the only thing I'm not sure about. The MGW, the Konis, the brakes are all getting moved over. The Watts is probably going to stay, both to make the car more valuable when I sell it, and to give myself some incentive to get IRS in this one sooner.

Maybe you should come down here once in a while.

And with no further adieu here is a link to the thread with some pictures.

Looks nice! You'll have to remove those cobra badges though.
