So I hate me car. It wasn't the dang water pump. Replaced it with a brand new one. Put everything back together, and bam still squeals like a pig. So i removed the serpentine belt and started the car, no noise. So that rules out anything internal at least.. the noise itself is coming from the passenger side of the engine. So i am thinking its the air condenser. I am going to keep the new water pump on anyways since the old one did make noise and had slack.

So the thing thats most likely going to happen is i am going to bypass it all together.

How exactly does this work?? http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...tor-Delete-Kit

because i forsure dont have the money to have mine serviced.

It will most likely be awhile till i get my car running again, it will give me some time to reflect on what my real goals are for this turd.

So the ac delete for now until you replace you get around to replacing it? I'd say you just pull the compressor out an it should bolt right up to the existing holes. If you replace the compressor make sure it's an oem, I had a remaifactured one put in about 20k ago and it's crapping out.

The thing is, It will be cold/ good weather till i Leave for basic training. So i may just delete the ac period. Like I said, I need to reevaluate what my final goals for this car will be

But right now i am leaning towards this..

Your compressor is locked up. The same thing happened on my Moms caddy. The pulley still spun but it spun slower so the belt was slipping on it. Bad part is, you cant just replace the pulley on that.

That's what's happening on mine right now, too. Pain in the butt that you can't just replace the pulley and call it a day.

Yeah, but I don't think I would enjoy driving my car nearly as much without A/C. I don't know about you guys, but my car gets warm in the cabin even when it's cold outside. I usually have the A/C on at least a little during the day. Then again, I am in CA... Maybe out in that part of the country where 65 isn't considered "cold" that doesn't happen.

So would there be any repercussions from bypassing the AC compressor with a shorter belt ?

You mean as in just leave the annoying compressor there and just run a belt that doesn't go the compressor? I don't see any down sides to it, I'd say go for
I'd be interested if it works great, I'd love to do that.

Did a little searching. Should cost about $30, you need a v6 6 rub pulley and a 70.5 inch belt I believe

Just ordered the parts, I wanted a specific type of belt (good year gatorback) and no one around had it.

Soooo, ran my car for about a minute to poke around some more and my alternator started shooting sparks at my face, no joke. Took it off and the bearings are shot, the whole things loose.

If I replace it, what am I looking for? 130amp 6guage?

Get the PA Performance one from AM. Replaced mine last winter and I have no complaints. Cheaper than some of the one's I've seen at auto parts stores as well. It's on sale too.

Sweet! Any update on the compressor? I'm really thinking of getting a delete kit.
