Engine Start Button

I have this same kit. I laughed so hard when I saw it I just had to go out and get it. I also installed it myself. Interestingly enough it is out of a honda s2000. If you look close before install you can see honda stamped on the part. I just happened to check out a 06 s2000 a couple days before this kit showed up and I recognized it. I guess a little "rice" never hurt anyone.

I really like the one youve got here. What else did you need to buy to install it since it doesnt come with the wiring harness, and where did you get these parts from? Thanks!

That's the same one I used. The only other parts needed are wire which you can get anywhere... I used scraps from other projects, and a relay if you choose. I didn't use a relay as I don't feel it's necessary, and I haven't had any problems.

Ive never done anything like this before, and I have no experience with wiring and stuff like that. Is there anyway you could tell me exactly what I will need to make it work. Sorry, but I am an idiot when it comes to this sort of stuff and prefer to have everything I need and not need to improvise but just follow step by step instructions to make sure I dont mess anything up.

I'm not a pro though, just lots of experience from tinkering and a little guts to try something out.
I see you're in PA, how far from Canton OH?

Did mine today, love it! I relocated the power port right next to the other one in the consol...

Here's how I wired my S2000 start button:
Pin 1 (far right on S2000 connector) to dark green wire behind ignition switch.
Pin 2 (2nd from right) to white wire behind ignition switch.
Pin 3 (3rd from right) to ground.
I used a six pin connector/cable I had in my computer parts box and removed three of the pins. It fits really good.
There are no issues when the button is pressed with the engine running.

I went over all 15 pages but couldn't find a clear answer for the question: Is there a solution how we can fix the "low oil pressure" warning? I really hate this message all the time.
Thx

I have to wonder if the low oil message is really related to the start switch. If you pull power from the ignition switch (so the start button only has power when the ignition is on) then that may take care of the problem.
If you pull power from the cig. lighter, that may be the problem...

The problem is only there if you delay in starting the car after you turn the key to "on". It would be no different if you turned the key to "on" and waited before you turned the key the rest of the way to start the car. It is not an issue.

I posted a question about this Low oil pressure message back in 07, befor i realized that it was because of the push button ignition, I just stoped using it cause it drives me crazy, so if someone can come up with a solution that would be great.

I really want to do this mod but can't decide which button to get, the 50resto one or the ford racing one out of the GT. What color do they light up in at night? I assume the lights only come on at night?
