Has anyone heard a true delivery date, or is Jan. 08 it?
Thanks Mike

Any updates on availablility of this hood?

Is BMC the only place to order? Can they take a credit card order over the phone? The web site wants you to send funds via a check in the mail. Not appropriate way to handle above board business deals. I'd just call and ask but they are never open when I am not working.

I am ready to order at the price listed.

Won't come with it. CDC sells one but from what I hear you can just get the stuff from Home Depot and make it yourself.

The CDC kit evidently sucks. Do a search on it. I can't remember who started the thread, but several others chimed in and agreed that it was a waste of money.

I really thought I wanted this hood, but the more I think about it the more I want a stock GT500 hood. For those that are converting, if you need to move your GT500 OEM hood I may be interested if you are within a few hour drive of NC.

I spoke to Phil last Friday and he told me 4 hoods are on their way to Trufiber from China as we speak. My understanding is that Trufiber will inspect them as soon as they come in and if all is well they go out to the retailers. Again, this is my understanding so Phil if you see this and I misspoke I apologize.

China? That doesn't make me feel good. My fault for not noticing that. I assumed they were good ol' USA product. Well I guess I better keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks for the link. I guess that means it want be long.

Call me crazy but the passenger edge (approx 2 inch strip)of the hood close to the fender is like a different white which doesn't matter unpainted, but the pic where the hood is painted looks like it shows thru the paint. Or am I just seeing things ? How does that happen?

That's the actual Shelby hood right. I didn't see any discussion about who's hood it was.

The "painted" pic there is just a photochop. He doesn't get it back from the shop until early next week.

As for that lighter area on each side, it looks almost like theres a ridge with an angle change near each side where it approaches the fender. I hope that isn't right.
