Seen them on ebay for $100-$150 or so. Shipping is the hard sell though....easier to sell local. Try craigslist.

Stock hoods are hard to sell now days......I speak from experience. I actually sold mine through TMS, but it took a while. There are tons of them out there. You might let your local body shops know you have one and offer them a little kick back if they can help you sell it to a customer w/ a wrecked stang. Good luck.

UPDATE... apparently Dave spoke with Phil and these hoods are looking like early 2008 before they are available. There will be a limited number available and they will run $750-900. This is not good news for those of us on a budget.

In thier defense, this hood does require the louver inserts and a fully finished underside. None of thier other hoods have both of those features. I figure the louver inserts are worth a couple hundred for the limited quantities they are producing. Thats in line with replacements for the stock GT500.

If the hood has all the quality and the right finished look, it will sell just fine at $800 complete. I just hope they can get them out the door soon. Now, where are those twist lok hood pins?

That hood required more work and the cost of the molds is high. This hood required 6 molds. top & bottom, two louvers, two rain guard boxes...lots more work then other hoods. More man power according to Phil.

I looked around and other hood for GT500 runs about 800+, My guess is that this hood will run about a bit lower went they start running their production.

Sorry to be picky... but I'm not made of money and want my stang perfect !!
As per Phil: "We decided to go with removable louvers because we wanted it to look different from the GTS-1 and GTS-2". Also, the louvers sit flush with the surface of the hood. I don't know about anyone else but I found it a little hard to tell for sure from the pics whether they sat on top or flush.

All of their hoods have fully finished undersides.

The only thing extra on this hood vs. the GT-S and the GTS-2 are the removable louvers. All three hoods have/will have rain guards/boxes.

The GT500 front fascia conversion market has to be a smaller target market than the other hoods so that has to affect the pricing, plus the cost of the removable louvers as has been stated.

I guess I agree with the reasoning, but I was sure hoping it would be no more that $600 or so. Guess we wait and see.

what's the point of removabe loevers? I would prefer them to sit flush and be seamless.

The point is the original KR hood has the removable louvers so this one should as well. There are too many other hoods out there that have thier own look, slightly different from the KR. Its about time someone did one right with the correct look across the board. I for one really look forward to this hood EXACTLY AS SHOWN.

I dont want another cheaper copy, I want one that look RIGHT. Don't want to say cost no object but whatever it legitimatly takes to do it right without cutting corners is what I want on my car.

Venom Test Fit Pictures

These pictures were taken yesterday. We are working on some fitment issues. We are taking our time and not rush to production. We hate to have to rush our production and have inferior products and many unhappy customers. Our goal is to get the hood fit as close to OE fitment as possible. Thank you for being patient. Please feel free to contact us if you have any question.
