TRUFIBER HOODS for Those with GT500 front Fascia!
#22
My guess is it will fit but the lines won't look as nice... this one is built for the GT500 front fascia. If you have a GT, the lines will look better with the Trufiber GTS2, which looks almost identical. Take a look at this thread: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=70297

Great news!... I'm converting to the GT500 nose JUST so I can run the KR type hood....
I'll be in for one if the rest of the hood looks as good as the teaser photo....

Hey guys, I've offered my stock GT500 hood to Trufiber if it would help them with measurements, angles, etc......They probably have access to one already and won't need it. I haven't heard from them yet. If that's the case I'll be selling my stock GT500 hood. Anyone interested?????

Well if they keep in line with the pricing as on their other hoods it will be under $700.00 which is mush better than the $1800.00 Shelby wants for their SS hood. If they offer a group but maybe $550.00 - $650.00 price range, we should know in a couple of weeks.
There is no telling what the stealer ships will want for the KR hood or if you can get one without the VIN # for the KR you’re “supposedly” repairing.
By the way, a deposit is eagerly awaiting a place to go.

Even if it is possible to get a real KR hood, being that Shelby wants $1800 for the flawed, fiberglass SS hood, you can bet that a KR hood in carbon fiber will run you $2500 at least.
I am so glad that Trufiber is offering us an alternative to Shelby. I will get this hood for sure and I am trying to help them out by spreading the word in other forums too.
