here are the mach1 KR style pins im looking at:

i love the mach style twist hood pins. i'm a bit worried about how to install it properly since its not really made for our car. it has to be customized.
or i just might get the Steeda competition hood pins which is the pins that do not have the WIRE.
hi jonco.
phil said to me 2 days ago he has not seen the new hood yet personally.
looks like the batch hasnt even arrived yet.
i suggest someone take lead and be the point of contact with phil like i was with the GT2-1 hood.
thanks...

I talked to phil last week and he said one of the new hoods is going on Scotts white car.
I have got a very busy week at work, but I will try my best to make contact and update everybody.
I will ask about the sqiurters, I also want to know if hood pins are required or not.
I would like for us to not have to commit until fitment is complete!
Hey Yao, about the squirters, what does tru fiber say about them, do they give all the stuff to put it on the wipers like CDC, or are they planning on using hood locations like stock?

phil never gave me direction on washers nozzles/squirters. im trying to still figure that one out with my bodyshop.
i am not using hood struts because i heard bad things about them.
a prop rod is safest way to go.
good luck all you GTS-2 dudes!
trufiber is amazing stuff...

Oh. For whatever reason I thought he made them. Hmm, well I'll have to wait for a second batch it seems like it. Cant wait to see more pictures. Im really excited about this hood.
I talked with Phil, and the distributer I am talking to about the group buy today.
-As far as the squirters go, we are on our own, I would suggest we contact CDC down the road and purchase their kit that they supply with their hoods and scoops, and relocate the squirters to the wipers.
-this hood will be fine with the Kenne bell.
- does not require hood pins
-rear mounted hood struts like the ones I have(MRT), will be fine.
-has built in rain catches under the louvers
-5 should be available in about 2 weeks.
-20 should be available 4-6 weeks from NOW, more like 4!
-if I get 10 people the price will be 500 plus shipping
-paypal or CC will be fine, we should have our funds ready now or soon, there will be a window where we all just will pay individually, this is of course after it is all set up, we just have to decide what we all want. 10 should be no problem at all, we already have 6 for sures and one maybe(94tbird).I would rather go for the second lot myself and get some feed back and pics from the first guys and gals who take the plunge.
bottom line is, if we get 10, I 'm sure the guys that cant wait and want it sooner rather than later can probably get it out of the first lot, 10 hoods is 10 hoods, I can work that out I'm sure...so c'mon guys, lets get 4 more and get the ball rolling!!!

Since I'm in no great hurry to get this on the car, as I still have front and rear fascias to save up for, I will go with the second batch.
Let's get 4 more people on this, it's a great looking hood y'all!

I'm 99% sure I can be in for the second batch. I need another paycheck before I'd be able to buy. When we do this 10 person group buy does that mean he wants the 10 hoods for paid within, for example like 3 days? Then he'll send out the 1st batch and few weeks later send out the second batch?
And if this fits the KB supercharger this should fit the Whipple system correct?
I think were getting a good deal on this group buy. Any one have experience with TruFiber hoods? Quality/prep?

Hi Bill,
I am debating which style I am going to put on Scott's car since I am working on one other style. I saw the response from this forum so I might just put the GTS-2.
Prep and painting will cost what it costs, from what I understand these hoods have been fitting with minimum prep time, but I would say for pricing from your body shop, I am going to price mine with an hour and 1/2 for prep with out paint...how about you Yao, how was your hood for prep time?
Talked to the group deal guy today, he is researching the squirter kit. Also, guys with fitment questions and prep time questions, blowers etc, Phil told me that Scott would be the one to ask, scott is the guy with the white car with center stripe and Trufiber hood ( in this thread).
Boltz, the interest was so great right off the bat, I got 6 people in 1 day, why not go for ten and a better price!!! now if we can get Ron(94tbird) a photoshop black GT with siver stripes we will have 7 guys...if we get 10 real quick, I will push to get the first batch of 5 to be part of our order.
