I am eager as all get out for the Predator JLT tune as well....
But you know what? If anything, this board has shown that patience turns out for the best.... especially with a brand new car design..... it'll come.....

Just for kicks for those waiting on a diablo tune from Jay for the JLT. What happens when you get that tune and it works great but then add motion plates, exhaust, headers and a pulley change. What do you do then both for regular driving and WOT?? Just wondering. And that could be for any tune from anyone not just Jay. For that matter SCT tunes. I just was wondering how you adjust for future mods that will change the tune you just got.

Great point, Black Magic.
Any significant mod that may change A/F ratio will require a retune...I suspect that a lot of people won't retune after each mod, or they will have combinations of mods that a canned tune just can't address - and they may have problems (lean condition) because of it.
This could be a big issue down the road since the computer is so sensitive.
Starting to think I might be in the wrong line of business...these Predator and SCT tuners could have a lot of work on their hands down the road!

Scott - the "canned" tunes only get you so far and will need to be updated once you begin to add other mods...that's why if you can, get your other mods done and then order the SCT/Diablo with a tune that takes into consideration what mods you have. You can also call the tuner who created your tune and they can update your tune and/or send you the file that you can adjust yourself (within limits) - but without the feedback of an a/f measurement on the dyno - you are basically guessing anyway. I'm going to do what many of the members here have done - once I get my last mod on - I'm going to an SCT dealer/tuner for a dyno run and test to see what the engine is doing and have them adjust the tune if necessary.
Then you will know that your engine is running in it's "sweet spot"

Black Majic and Hotlap make a good point.
I was thinking after Jay had the DP tune for the JLT that it and any added mods at the time of install could be updated on the dyno.
I may just go ahead and get the JLT without the tune, finish filling my parts box up and head to the Dyno with everything..
Jay is there any added info to tell my Dyno guy about the JLT?

So what ever happened? JLT issue solved? is that considered the JLT II? Was there ever a diablo tune set up for it?
Sat her reading post by post for what, 11 pages? lol. Its like watching a good movie, and suddenly the film stops!
I dont care for the HP differences in the 2 CAI's mentioned. More important, no issues, and saving about 100 bucks.
Where are we today fellas?

You'll find that happens from time to time with these threads...it just kinda drops and sort of continues in another one. Gotta keep reading elsewhere or maybe PM the guy that started it.
Yes, the JLT issue was resolved. An insert was developed to provide additional grip area for the filter and prevent deformation of the tube under heat and pressure of the clamp. That became the basis for the design of the JLT II.
Diablo tunes are available for it. They were developed first by Brent at DTP.
I've had the original JLT installed since May using DTP's tune. No problems. It fell off once but hasn't budged since. I obtained the special insert for it but "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
Personally, I'd like to see the JLT with a three sided heat shield like the others...but that's another thread!
<strike>*** END of THREAD ***</strike> <== I stand corrected!!
