Took me about 25-30 minutes too. How could someone spend 2-1/2 hours installing these?

Maybe hes a mechanic newb and was very precautious. I find myself taking extra time with things I have never done before to make sure I don't mess up.
But then again, I could only see taking an hour max. Anything more is pretty absurd.

I have the stock H pipe and I noticed that the car pulled harder mid range to WOT a little harder after GTA install. I don't think there is a drastic change in performance. As most have said, the stock ones flow pretty well and sound good too.
The exhast is louder when accelerating but mostly, I really like the appearence MUCH better.

RPM- I was the guy that took 2.5 hours. First of all, I used a buddy's lift (see thread pics). In retrospect they probably got in the way. Just back the car up on a couple of 2X4's if you need more room. Second, it took me ahwile to adjust my tips, for some people it's not an issue.

I like mine too... especially the much lower drone then the SLP loudmouths where giving out. Also I dont know if its in my head but I feel like it pulls a little harder in 1st and 2nd now..I know you does lose a few HP w/the lack of back pressure from the SLP's. Again might just be in my head. Now all I have to do is get those darn Delete plates installed!! Oh and my cams too!! ha ha

Did the install on mine today too. I got mine from Nino and it took almost two weeks for them to arrive. I had a couple of setbacks. I installed the passenger side first. It went on very quickly without a hitch. The muffler slid onto the pipe with a bit of effort, but was snug and that was good. I did find as everyone else has, that you cannot get the GTA to seat all the way and the nub only goes slightly into the notch. Once I tightened everything down, the tips were perfectly centered and I didn't have to do any adjusting.

I moved on to the driver side and this is where it got interesting. When I went to slide the muffler onto the pipe, it went very easily. Too easy in fact. The driver side pipe seemed to be slightly smaller in diameter than the passenger side or the muffler pipe was larger. I did notice that my notches in the muffler pipe are far less wide than the pics on everyone else's muffler posted here. I bolted everything up and found that when I went to tighten the band around the connection, it would not clamp down enough to keep the pipes from moving around. I had to pull the muffler out and do some mods.

I took the sawzall and made another cut on the muffler side about as wide as the two existing notches. I put it back on and then I was able to tighten the band clamp much more as the muffler pipe was able to compress more. Once I tightened all the bolts down the tip again was centered perfectly. I fired it up and although I love the sound, I do wish it was a tad louder. I understand they will "season" and am looking forward to that. I will be doing the X pipe next.

I did my install. It took a total of 40 minutes or so. I put them in by just laying down in the driveway. It was nice and hot in the Florida sun. My only problem was some of the angles I had to get to the bolts. But after I figured the point of attack it was easy.

I would like to thank everyone for all of the info I got from this thread for this install.

Same here. Had the mufflers in a box for like 3 weeks trying to find the time to do it. Finally got sick of waiting, gobbled down dinner after work, and installed them in the garage in about an hour. Hardest part was getting the flashlight to stay at the angle I needed. Do it in the driveway during the day and it should be a piece of cake,

Love the sound, louder and more aggressive than stock, but not obnoxious. And they look awesome.

This thread lives on and on. If you want them slightly louder throw on the FRPP X Pipe.

That is my next project. I finally drove mine today after just revving in the driveway right after the install. It does sound much better than stock without being obnoxious. The X pipe will just enhance it a bit.

Installed mine today. Took about 1.5 hours. Had to use some gentle persuasion to get them off the axle pipes and the passenger side hangers were bent so it took more persuasion to get the bolts to align.
Love the sound and love the pull in first and second. Its so much easier to squeal the tires coming out of a red light.

Great first pic.....really gives you an appreciation of the difference in the outlet size between OEM & GTA. Thanks.

Do you hAve the FRPP X pipe installed on yours and is it just the X or with high flow cats? I have been looking to go with the Bassani high flow cats and X with these mufflers. If we ever get a spring up here in Maine Im going to change my exhaust but I just havent decided what to go with. I am going to make up my mid this week so I can order and have the goodies here when winter goes away...like in July

Add me to the GTA club! I just installed mine this morning and I can't get the grin off my face...

I had to widen the opening of the passenger side pipe, and had to do a little adjusting from the mid pipe, but they turned out perfect! I love the sound too! It's subtle, but it's the way the stock mufflers should have looked and sounded from the factory! Two big thumbs up from me!

I just put mine in about an hr ago. Amazing bang for your buck. Love the sound and style. Took me and my father about an 1hr and a half. Coulda been done sooner but we didnt bother with jackstands or lifting the car(dont ask).

Either way. I highly reccomend this exhaust mufflers to anyone. Bought them from Ninosports, no complaints.
