Hey guys, im new to these Mustang forums and cars in general but heard this was the best place to familiarize myself w/ the car from veteran enthusiasts. I recently bought a garage queen 2011 GT w/ 38k miles on it. Im 19, and dont know much of what im doing so id like to get some opinions on a cold air intake and whether a tuned JLT intake or a NON required tuned intake is healthier for the car. Money is not an issue, ive landed myself a solid career as a union carpenter just out of high school, i just really would like to know people’s opinions on what the healthiest option is for the car, tuned intake, or nontuned. thanks guys.

Unless you intend on re-flashing your vehicle's ECM? your not really going to gain much of anything with a non-tuned CAI, as most of the power gains come from the tune re-flash over the CAI. Therefore you would be far better off just getting an SCT X4 hand-held tuning device that includes pre-loaded tuning files for your stock airbox which Ford improved the design to be far less restrictive over the previous 2005-09 4.6L 3v models. That being said, any of the custom tuning vendors listed on our site have an excellent track record of providing pre-loaded tuning devices that provide a noticeable improvement in performance and are also safe for your vehicle. You may also want to consider searching the sub-forums by pressing the search function tab above which will provide a listing of threads that have been previously submitted about Cold Air Intakes that you may also find as very helpful and informative as well. In the meantime, congrats on your recent purchase of your "2011" GT and also welcome to TMS

I repaired a short in the widow circuit. I found it at the passenger door right at the hinge. No more blowing fuses. I also replaced the window switch's on the passenger and driver doors, they were pretty worn out.

What's a widow circuit?
Seriously that is quite a relief for you I bet!

I washed my Mustang, wife's Edge and my old F150. Was supposed to be 4 days without rain, didn't happen . We've had 27.91 inches of rain since January 1st. It's raining like hell now . I think I'm growing gills. My over weight dog has to have his belly dried with a towel every time I take him out to pee. He has LB disease (low Belly)

that wind noise plus with the window open about a 1/4" at 10 degrees is stupid cold. Fixing it wasn't the problem, just getting off my lazy **** to do it was the issue.
just bought rear windows louvers for my 09 mustang GT had them on the car about almost 4 days and they blew off the car on the hwy and cracked the windshield and scratch the hood of the other car.
bought them from american muscle and they would not reimburse me or my insane company geigco and was charged for the accident that what I get for upgrading my car.

I find they are letting us down on certain items. Some of the items are just plain cheap. I bought a useless gas cap door. No refund on that either.
Started my "painted Brembo calipers" project.
Also doing new StopTech slotted front rotors and new Hawk HPS 5.0 front brake pads since the stock pads were down to 1-2mm.
So far, cleaned the calipers with brake clean spray and with VHT Caliper Cleaner, then 4 coats of VHT Flame-Proof Primer.
We placed an order on-line with a grocery store that brings your order out and places it in your trunk, so you don't even have to get out of your car. We will drive the Mustang over to pick up our groceries.
I installed one those black Cobra emblem assembly's in the grille area. Now if I could figure out how to remove the chrome cobra fender emblems without phlucking them up. I'm changing those to black also.

If they're the original "OEM" emblems? you should be able to remove them by just uninstalling the nuts behind the inner fender. However, If they're attached with adhesive? then the best way to remove them IMO. is by using a heat gun along with some fishing line

Thanks ...I figured they had a nut. They are original emblems. I just didn't want to screw up the paint so thanks for the heads up.
Yesterday. Finished my front brake job including the painting of the front calipers, and the installation of the painted rear caliper covers I've had for about 4 years, lol.
Slotted front rotors with Hawk HPS 5.0 Street front brake pads.
