Today I got to bring together the Mustang I used to own and my current Mustang! I sold my 2005 GT convertible (the one without the white stripes) two years ago to a neighbor, and he brings it to me every so often for detailing (I have a detailing business in my garage). This was the 1st time I had my "new"(to me) '06 Mustang in the stables with its predecessor; we had an impromptu car show/cruise-in/photo shoot right in my driveway, with my son's Camaro trying to photo-bomb in the background!
Today, I opened Awesome's trunk! I got a box of Cat5e cable out, because it was in there, so yeah. That happened, the box of cable's ready to go with me to work tomorrow to solve an issue.
The neat thing was, I hit the remote from inside the house to do it! And it worked! It's been *quite* the while, so that the battery isn't dead is *really* nifty!
And... yeah, I might have petted her just a couple times, wistfully thinking of when I'm gonna get her back out, but not just yet. Reasons(tm). Ah well. Soon(R).
Got mine out and been enjoying for a few weeks as I get breaks in the weather. Put 130 miles on her so far the month. Weather is looking pretty good after the next couple of crappy days. So more driving time to come soon. Boy I miss this fun over the winter months!
Had both my girls out a few weeks ago also. Looks like we are in for a little bit of spring snow (hopefully just a dusting) tonight into tomorrow. Should be hone by Monday. Didn't get to detail it yet. Can't use the garage to do it either because I have no electricity in it yet.
I want to know how the electric mustang is. Didn't have the chance to talk with anyone about them yet. Or I should say knew anyone who had to to ask how they are. Dealerships just want to talk to you about how they can get you o to one. And yes I hope you still have a gas powered mustang also.
I gotta say, I've seen some good, independent reviews, and they all pretty much say the Ford Explorer Probe-E is pretty nifty! Same sorta issues of electric cars overall, but a real nice electric SUV, one should consider it if they're in the market for such a vehicle.
Problem is, someone's put some Mustang badges on it for some reason. Dang shame, that.
/One wonders when the Chevrolet CorvettSUV-E or CamarUV-E is gonna happen to compete with that thing.
//It's still a pretty car and nifty, just... yeah. C'mon, Ford.
Wow that was a good one. Still want to test drive the electric one but don't think I would want to trade any of mine in on one.
Yes it was fast and extremely quiet but just lacking in feel. I also was disappointed in the storage it felt cramped. Overall it's not bad and it will sell I just hate it's name.
Today I detailed my 07 GT, would have some pics but got to late and only have 1 light in the garage. Plus I found who ever detailed it before me didn't do a good job on the roof looked dull after I stripped old wax off. Going to try something new. I always use the chemical guys products but got some new stuff in. It's a glare! product called knockout. Want to try it out supposed to clear up oxidation and remove scratches and swirls in clear coat and paint. Keep you fingers crossed because it's a black car and if it don't work it's going to take some work to clear up.
Spent National Mustang Day up at the Gale Halderman Museum in Tipp City, OH! My first time visiting, and it was a great event! Excellent cars and people! The Halderman family really make you feel welcome.
Here's some pics-
You HAVE to take a picture in front of the Big Pony!
The turnout, and the family atmosphere, were such a special way to honor Mr Halderman and his legacy of designing our beloved Mustang!
