You did such a fantastic job in painting the front calipers Gabe! Both the front and rear brakes look absolutely stunning on your Mustang

Very nice Gabe! Look great!

So, How did you get the Brembo logo back on you fronts? What are those and where did you get those covers for the rears?

Thanks.
They're decals, bought off eBay, "high-temp vinyl".
Then clearcoated over the color and the decal.

And in the back they're blank caliper covers that I painted the same color as the front calipers, with eBay-sourced pony decals, then clearcoated over.

Thanks Gabe!

Had to zoom in on your finished brake side shot to see what you have on your fuel door. Very nice, made me chuckle... Pretty funny, but so true.

Just brought it home.

I brought this home tonight...a 00' Mustang GT 5spd. convertible. I traded a really nice Fender 1961 Strat for it. It has a few up-grades, sub-frame connectors and a cat-back exhaust system. But it mostly original.

Nice car. Interesting trade - the Strat will continue to appreciate in value -- the car - not so much.

I had restored the 61' Fender. It was not totally original.Maybe worth about 3500.00. I have 59' and two 57' Strats that are worth about 10k each, maybe more at auction. I just sold a 69' Les Paul original for 12,500.00
Between guitar players and car lovers I believe it was a fair trade considering I found my Fender at a garage sale for 500.00 and had invested about 400.00 more for parts and materials. The guy that has the Fender will probably keep the guitar for the rest of his life which means more to me than value or profit involved. We both have what we enjoy, rock and roll and cruizing.

I'd also agree that you both got what you want and that it was indeed a fair trade. Meanwhile, congrats on the "00" GT vert

My 2014 is still in winter rest. I was going to get her started last weekend and finally get her back on the road. But...Thursday I fractured my ankle with a bad sprain so that’s gonna have to wait another month. This will be the longest I’ve not started her over winter storage. Any concerns when I’m able to get a battery hooked up for the first start?

Sorry to find out about your fractured ankle. Hopefully your recovery time during the next month will go by quickly and you'll be back on the road before you know it. Meanwhile, you shouldn't encounter any issues from starting up your vehicle for the first time after coming out of storage other than make certain the battery your installing is fully charged.

Thank you! I had major dose of stupidity when I took a tumble down my steps and this nicer weather has me itching (literally too. ) to drop the top and take a cruise. Plus all that detailing too. Can’t wait to hear that rumble.

Trust me! you're definitely not alone, as we've all encountered some major dozes of stupidity at some point in our lives. Meanwhile, you have all that detailing and cruising with the top down to look forward once your ankle is all healed up
