For mud flaps, you can just get some universal plastic ones (the real cheap simple thin plastic ones), cut them out to fit/look the way you want and in the shape of the inner wheel well, then just use a binder clip to clip it to the inner wheel well.
Very cheap and easy to take on and off

I've been thinking about something like this, since I'm going 100% Mach 1 theme now with the new rims (which were ordered today):
Here's a '70 Mach 1 with the honeycomb panel, the chrome taillight bezels, black wing, and a similar stripe:
I think it would look better on a white car than on that green car above.
Plus, my Turbocharged emblem that I'm putting back there would stand out nice on the black...

I think I'll go with the seran wrap looking stuff. I'll get more protection than th mudflaps will give. Mudflaps are gay unless you have a truck.

I agree it would look better straight across, but that's all I can find.

How about this:

I could probably make that fit. I asked the guy for dimensions.

Price seems to be higher with Edelbrock so I may still go for the JBA's.
Aslo, the grade of SS looks to be the same as the JBA, so no advantage there.
Mud flaps or this?

I vote staggered... nothing makes sense economically with this car
Leo - congrats on the tires. Can't wait to see how it hooks
Ian - what's up! Late june... that's coming up fast. The stang going with you?
Just got back from the Edlebrock show with the socal crew Boy, was it hot.

Who here has a boost/vacuum gauge? I'm just curious how your readings compare with mine:
(A/C off for all)
Idle (after fully warmed up) - 23 in-Hg
RPM at idle - Hair over 750, so I'll call it 775
Cruise set, speedo needle right on 65 MPH - 10 in-Hg (I have the stock 3.55 gears, so this will be different for other gear sets).
Hard decel while still in gear - 27 in-Hg

True that, and I want a pair of those for the crazy Canadian roads. Yummy salt, gravel, muddy rain waters...and then comes the winter months

Why not.
Yeah they're still gay. They're just little gay as opposed to big gay.
That may just work. I'd have to see pics of it on a S197 before deciding.

Anyone looking for that "turbo sound" with the cost of a turbocharger? Make sure to read the bullets.
