Who here has a boost/vacuum gauge? I'm just curious how your readings compare with mine:

(A/C off for all)

Idle (after fully warmed up) - 23 in-Hg
RPM at idle - Hair over 750, so I'll call it 775
Cruise set, speedo needle right on 65 MPH - 10 in-Hg (I have the stock 3.55 gears, so this will be different for other gear sets).
Hard decel while still in gear - 27 in-Hg

I have boost/vac. I'm not much help cause I dont remember.

Question, my idle rpms are set at 750 with no AC on. When I turn my AC on it drops about 150 if not more. So i'm near 500 rpm's and the car turned off twice at idel at a stop light. Can I change that with my tuner without screwing my tune or should I have my shop fix that for me on wednesday. The RPMs even at 750 with no ac seems to drop to 550-600 at stops. What should it be at idealy?

Any walk me trhough how to change this? THANKS

I'd have them look at it. I'm sure it can be re-programmed. My idle goes up a bit when the A/C is turned on.

As far as the readings... I didn't think anybody would know off the top of their heads... but if you can check it out next time you are driving, I'm curious how other's readings compare to mine.

So as far as using my handheld tuner to change idle I shouldn't try? Sucks then the next couple of days with no ac. Lol

Well, what handheld tuner do you have? I just don't want to give you mis-information since I've never messed with anything on my tuners... except for uploading tunes & turning on and off traction control.

Those are real nice Leo, what size are they? They look super wide

You da man

[QUOTE=LEO_06GT;5557292]I vote staggered. I would've gone staggered if I was changing rims but since I can't run bigger than 255's on the factory bullits I'm stuck there.

Here's some pics of the MT ET Street Radials I picked up yesterday. Got'em both brand new for $300 of Craigslist. Can't beat that. Now just looking for a killer deal on some 17x8 takeoffs.

If Gauges, spare belt and "frankentensioner" weren't high on my must haves, these would be next on the list. Hopefully deals like that will still be around when I start shopping.

Leo
was gonna post about newtakeoff.com but I just saw your post in the for sale section...nevermind.

Leo.....

So did ya watch Talladega today ?? One of the best Nascar races in awhile. The whole race was exciting and not a procession like some of the others. Not that I like shrub (Kyle Busch). Too bad the best cars today, Tony and Dale Jr, were wrecked.

On another front... anyone else watching the NHRA race today ? Ashley Force won, the first Female Funny Car winner...

Oh, I forgot to mention. I installed my new trunk! I love the spoilerless look. Now to look into a CDC ducktail spoiler. I think my mods for the few months are as follows. d-specs
and lca together then ducktail spoiler, and GT/CS rear bumper and have the trunk between the two tail lights painted black all done at the same time. Then I'll be done with major mods this year...

And my strut bar is in transit, door sills, and pedals. new toys this week!

Lol, none yet. Pictures will come. I promise. I'm not very quick to get on picture loading. I guess right now I wanna get the idle issue fixed and fuel sender. Then my mind will be clear!

Uhh.. no. Why would I have the engine installed without the blower, then get it re-installed later when access is more difficult?

It reads way different than yours, mine doesn't move at all.

750 right on the mark. It doesn't do the high-idle when it's cold anymore either ??
