When I sing I've got that whiskey soaked, Camel (non-filter) 2 pack a day, drug addled sound. Think Janis Joplin, Gregg Allmann and Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes had a baby.

Great post, Gary. That was haunting and uplifitng at the same time. It's my favorite LC composition, especially John Cale's version.
Hallelujah is arguably one of the most dark but beautiful songs ever written, and it remains one of the most covered songs of all time.
This just got added to my 2014 Christmas mix. Thanks.
