"[Having] the last word and constantly [arguing]" - which is spirited debate in many quarters - is not sufficient reason for ANY infractions whatsoever. And you bloody well know it.

And "Sparky"? C'mon, you kiddin' me? Flinging the very insults you accuse me of? Where I come from that's called hypocrisy.

No matter what you choose to call it, you are engaging in censorship for reasons of personal vanity; typically what happens in an autocracy. It's a shame that the only way you can win an argument is by attempting to silence the other person. It sounds as though you would find many sympathizers in Communist China.

Man up and face me in an open debate instead of hiding behind the skirt tails of "moderator" status.

Do you have the stones?
I have the stones...but do you have the stones to act like a mature adult on this forum? apparently not. Your need for a public audience from a PM is playing professional Victim. Want to call me out....tell me how this works out for you.

Your insults....are clear in multiple threads. I asked you to take the high road but you repeatedly ignored me and in a response to losing your own arguement you kept it up. Then you proceed to talk back-violation. Then you think you are going to be big man and call me out....another mistake which proves you cannot act on any level higher than grade school.....your actions.

I personally don't care if you vote for Ralph Nader....just so long as you use a MATURE level of interaction in your posts here....which you have not.

I don't censor anything and have never adjusted, censored or removed ANY of your posts....I am leaving this here as well so as to show everyone what kind of child like behavior you are dropped down to. The rules here are simple and easy to get along with but if you want to keep it up I can arrange to "censor" your butt right out of here....your time here is a priveledge....act up and violate the rules and you lose that priveledge.

SO.....let me know when you want to interact like a mature human being.....

Note to forum members.....

THIS is exactly why most forums forbid Religous and Political threads.....because inevitably someone cannot act like an adult and resorts to improper behavior such as we have here. We have tried to leave these topics alone but as always seems the case one ruins it for everyone else.

The current threads will be left alone but if this continues at all then ALL related threads will become locked and TMS will join the other sites with a strict rule against Political and Religous posts.

Thanks to all who were able to contribute in a mature manner.

Hollywood's earned a temporary vacation because of his attitude, refusal to heed warnings and attempt to create drama on the forum. The choice is up to him if this is to become permanent or not...the ball is in his court.

You know, I thought PM's were Private Messages between two individuals (or a group if you CC other members). Either way, it's very bad form to post the content of a private message without permission of the author.

As for the continuation of Political/Religious threads here at TMS, I'd like to ask (as a member) that people do a little more digging then what they see on the main cable networks or the Associated Press. You might find out that the candidate you're pulling for isn't quite so awesome after all. This is a non-political statement by the way. It's a plea to educate yourself instead of spewing the sewage you heard fall out of Dan Rather's mouth last year.

That might reduce traffic.

Discussions on current and important happenings and events appeal to many members and is a primary or secondary reason why we linger here, yours truly included. I use to visit a handful of sites but with so many childless restrictions they just became repetitious, dull, and boring. One stop shopping works. Sometimes taking the high road on minor violations is better than a full blown confrontation. Actually I don't think anything posted on this topic is a big deal.

If anything, judging from the amount of views, quite a few members have enjoyed it whether involved in the posting or not.

I have constantly checked every post on this thread since it was started. However as of late its looked more like a longtime member and a moderator had it out for each other. Obviously the moderator wins. I think the problem is the same problem we have in our society. Liberals don't trust conservative sources and vice versa. Each side believes what they want to believe or sees things how they want to see them. I agree with Sendero to do your research as he has, and George has, and Paul has, and to some extent Hollywood has. Obviously I think Hollywood was wrong, but he took it a little too far and a little too personal and should not have posted quotes from a PM he had received without permission. Otherwise what is the point of the PM. He was seemingly taunting Paul to do what he had to do. I am no one here, I haven't been here a year yet, and while I disagreed with Hollywood sometimes and agreed even sometimes, I always backed off when I felt like I crossed a line, and as far as I can remember he did the same with me. He can be a little opinionated but who among us isn't. I think he went to far with the wrong person, but like others who have been banned here before, I hope everone can take this as a lessoned learned and we can continue to explore the off-topic discussions. I know that I don;t often get to discuss such things with people who aren't already in complete agreement with me. It is unfortunate it has come to this, but I would hate to see these discussions end. Let's just keep it civil like grown-ups. That's my opinion for anyone who cares and for what its worth.

Unfortunately what happened on other sites and is threatening here is that one ruins it for everyone. I have no problem with an exchange of ideas provided it is done on a mature level headed playing field. We don't like to restrict things but we don't have any use for drama on the forum either....it is distracting and disrespectful to other members. It was obvious where this was headed so my first suggestion was to keep it above board(as I had asked long ago in one of these threads) and there would be no problems....but once we detect a downward spiral it is time to stop it before it gets really out of hand.

I didn't have it out for Hollywood and I hold no grudge or ill will toward him provided he doesn't continue along the same lines. I sent him a PM to simply put an end to it OFF the forum and the desire to drag it out into an audience is what got him in trouble. While I may not agree with his political beliefs I respect his right to have them and I welcome his opinion on the forum....as long as it stays civil....and that is all I have ever asked.

There had been discussion among mods about closing down these threads and I was the one who wanted to see them left open so that there could be a free exchange of ideas...but again, as long as it remained civil.

My point in my actions was to give him time to cool off because it was obvious where everything was headed and I believe cooler heads prevail.

I think it was obvious where everything was headed. And I think the right move was made. I'd hate to see an end to these threads, because as George said it is a one stop option being able to discuss Mustangs and politics. It seems every once in a while someone gets too excited about their opinion and someone has to be sent to the time out corner. I didn't mean to say that either of you literally had it out for each other, but tension was growing. Perhaps this thread should be locked as it no longer has anything to do with Russia and Georgia?

While I don't sympathize with Hollywood North's position or opinions the fact of the matter is he was overwhelmed with opposition. We have all shown our strong beliefs the difference is he was alone in his so cutting some slack might be the conservative thing to do.

Besides, had you guys displayed some patience and waited for a couple more posts I would have shred that little socialist wimp ( sorry Robert ) to pieces.
