If you listen really close when he puts the camera under the car you can hear the noise slightly. I bet it might be a lower pulley going bad.

Nice parts....It's been about 5-6 years since I have been to the Dream Cruise. I would love to come up again. It is in August...right?

Dream Cruise is in August. It's a lot of fun. If you have any questions about it, let me know, but details and registration are all located here: www.mustangalley.net

Went to drive the Stang today and click,click..click. WTF. I am on my 3rd Motorcraft battery already. I will have to look tonight but I think this one is only about a year old and it was a free replacement then. I know the way the warranty works is from the date of the first one I bought so I expect to get screwed in this deal if it is really bad. I will put it on the charger when I get home a see what happens.

The S.O.B. is bad again. 4 F'in batteries in 6 years seems excessive to me. I have always stuck with Motorcraft but this is getting out of hand. I pulled the battery and will take it to the dealer tomorrow to see what the deal is. But...I am out of the free replacement since April and am now into the 100 month of pro-rating. I am now of the opinion that this particular Motorcraft battery is a P.O.S.!!!!!!!!!

Nope not this time. Still have a Motorcraft. The guy at the dealship must have felt sorry for me since I was such a short time over getting a free replacement that he gave it to me free again. Maybe this one will last longer than a year.

How long is it sitting when it goes dead?

Mine died on me twice with extended time sitting, after the 2nd time it was time to trash it. Once they drain out, they never seem to come back as strong, and even more so the more times you let it drain out.

Put an Interstate in, no problems until I left it attached over winter storage, lol, duh.

Didnt even bother charging, just swapped it out when I worked at goodyear.

It sits for weeks at a time now and all I do is make sure the radio is turned off and no issues. Disconnect for winter storage and fires right up come spring.

I had just driven it 4 days before and it was fine. I have been driving the Stang regularly since the end of March. But man when it went dead it did it big time. My charger said it only 7% in it and it fought the charger hard. It tried to charge it for about 10 minutes and shut down calling it bad. The little view port in the battery was bright red. That is how the others before it went also. No warning at all. One minute it was good the next dead.

Have you installed anything electronic in the car that might be draining the battery?

Well as long as I keep getting them for free I will put back in the Motorcraft. I would most likely go with Sears Die Hard Gold. Have one in my 93 pickup for over 13 years now and still going. Only battery other then the stocker that truck has every had in over 18 yrs. I have had very good luck with them over the years

I went with an Interstate last time. So far so good.

My Optimas were sizzling with the LT headers in the car.
