Talked to my son in law over the weekend, he is a Auto Mechcanic. he had called in sick 1 day and upon returning to work he found that they had taken a F-150 in for work. I have talked to him about the 2 piece spark plugs and how they can break in the head. Well the boss had tried to remove 2 of them only to break both of them. He then called a friend at a ford dealer ship and this is what they told him. Heat the engine up as hot as you can get it and then use a air power impact wrench to slam the plugs out. He broke several more doing this. The good news is that they how have the removeal tool at his workplace and I email him the proper Ford procedure. They replace them with the 1 piece Champions and I asked him if he inspected them for flaws before he put them back in....No he didn't.
They charged the guy 8 hrs labor and $25 @ for the plugs.

Lol, impact gun.
I take alot of calls from dealers and Ford being one of them. Most seem to only charge an extra .5/hr for each broken plug, which I think is very fair.

Nice pics man!

I don't know if I would do one or not. I'm not for or against Scott.

I was thinking of getting one for the '91 vert, but now I'm thinking more of a roll cage.

It has never been at the top of my mod list. My wife doesn't like them. They seem to look good on some cars and not so good on others. I am really still on the fence about it also.

Hi all, just checking in.... been a busy few weeks, we're all moved out of Indiana and into the new house now; still putting things away though.

Scott do the light bar; after all it's only money.

Scott I like them. I think it gives verts a good look to them. To me it also "fills" in an empty space.

I was told to remove the serp belt and run it for a couple minutes and see if the sound goes away. It seems to be there at all idles.

What's going on fellas? Had a long, crappy day at work yesterday (18+ hours), so I decided to treat myself. FRPP springs, Steeda adj. Panhard bar, and FR500C LCA's on the way.

Who's gonna be at Mustang Alley this year at WWDC?

Check your pulleys. It sounds like you have a pulley starting to go out. You might even have to take off the belt and see if there is movement in them. Also turn them by hand and see if there is any unusual noise when you turn it.

Good advise with the limited amount of information. Might be a bearing in a pulley going bad and only makes a noise now and again.............

Thanks. Can't wait to install it.

I was down there last year, but this is my first chance to actually be there with a car, so I'm excited.

My bet is a pulley but also take your belt off and inspect it. Also check the tensioner pulley, watch it and see it it moves different at the time of the noise.
