Hey! 70MACH1OWNER how are these working out for you ? I've been looking for your right up about them........You need to get these tested for me !....
The Blaster 2 CoPs are available individually or as a complete set of eight.
MSD Ford Coil-on-Plug, 05-07 ,4.6L SOHC, set of eight (PN 82438)
Improved spark energy and voltage output
Patented winding design and materials
Direct bolt-in to factory connectors
There’s no denying the performance and popularity of the late model Ford Mustang. For owners looking to improve their Ford’s performance on the street or strip, MSD offers a variety of ignition upgrades to fire up your Mod Motor.
The improved spark energy and voltage of MSD’s Blaster 2 Coils, combined with reliability, have made them a favorite for performance enthusiasts. Whether firing a restored BOSS 429 or a Saturday night circle tracker, the Blaster 2 has always gotten the job done. MSD is excited to offer Blaster coils for late model Ford engines with Coil-on-Plug technology!
The new Blaster CoPs are designed as a direct bolt-in replacement coil for many SOHC Modular Motors. The housing and installation are the same as the factory, but that’s where the similarity ends. Inside the MSD red housing, engineers spec’d better material to assemble the primary and secondary windings. There is also patented dual magnet technology to step up the output.Together, this combines a coil that produces higher voltage and spark energy! The Coil-on-Plug design of the Blaster CoPs puts the spark energy right out of the coil and across the plug gap to improve the combustion and output of the engine.

Maybe, just maybe I'll try them on my car to see if they do anything with a blower but even at my power/boost level I don't expect much.

So what does that tell you? Are you forgetting that Brenspeed tests/runs EVERY product that they sell?
Uh, yeah good luck with that.....
Now you're putting 2 & 2 together.....

Don't take this the wrong way...but Brenspeed sells the MDS brand of these COPS but doesn't post anything about potential gains. That seems out of the box for them. Again not being pissy just making an observation. Maybe they need to post a before and after dyno sheet???

How's bout we volunteer our cars for dyno testing! If they prove gains, we'll both buy them. That way there's testing done on both NA and FI setups.

[quote=tom281;5535818]I stand corrected Scott...... I guess they probably got enough people asking the same questions that you're asking that they finally decided to carry them.

You got the supercharged car and I have the N/A car...if they are up for the test to prove it one way or the other than I am in!!!! Since you are the official spoksman for Brenspeed. I will leave the negoiating to you!!! But you can count on me!!

I personally think this would be a good test for the MSD cops, 1 modified and tweaked Saleen ! and 1 heavily modified N/A 4.6 3v both applications would in theory have the best chance on showing a gain one would think ? although I think both could benefit from a plug change too ! .....

I'm gonna try to hook up with Brent and the guys down in Muncie on Saturday. If so, I'll ask him what he thinks about the coils.

Hey Chris,
I started this thread a 1 1/2 weeks ago and it didn't get much input. So I didn't know how to interpet the lack of further discussion. Did you see this thread? We just need to throw out their ideas to keep it alive.

Oh - I didn't know about the link. I am hitting the Spring Fling regardless - and it seems like someone just needs to take ownership and be the keeper of the schedule. Hmmm... Now who would be the wise patriarch of the group? The one we all look up to for guidance, direction, and worldly knowledge? You know, "So let it be written, so let it be done."

Patriarch.....I think thats a nice way of calling me an "old fart". So go to the "Stangstock 08" thread and post your comments "Young Grasshopper"
