After I had the heads and cams installed I took it to Brenspeed to have it tuned. After tuning it Brent told me that if your not going to FI its not worth the money. The dyno numbers proved it on my car. I got only 324 hp with the heads and the way it looks the guys who just got their cars back from Brenspeed got 310hp or better without. But I did see that they have longtube headers and I have shortys.
You may want to call the guys at Brenspeed.

I had a lifter problem last summer. So I decided to have cams installed while it was down. While tightening down one of the cap bolts the cap broke(19 inch pounds). So I thought that since I had to change one of the heads I would get the FRPP heads since its been listed that you get 20% and 30% better air flow. Installed them then took the car to Brenspeed and you can tell by the numbers listed in my sig that that didn't help on a N/A motor.

Sorry to hear you spent that much coin for very little gains. But your results confirm just what I had already thought. And that is heads really won't gain much on a N/A car.

Cost of the heads was my only problem. I had a deal with the boss man for a even swap while I was on vacation. but the dumb changed his mind half way through the build. Labor was only $300.00. Most was warranty (work for Ford Dealership) for fixing the one head and I paid the mech extra for everything else.

Hey Justin,
Let me know how those hood struts work for you when you get them installed. I am looking at getting a set and like SHR stuff.

Hood struts in general I think are probable a worthwhile mod! that prop can really get in the way!...Hey did you guy see the thread about the factory plugs being prone to breakage when removing.

Climbs up on the soap box...........

Man I hate cleaning the front grill with the honeycomb crap. I've try everything to keep it clean, after I wash the car it leaks water water for hours and grabs dust like no tomorrow.
Well I found one I think will cure this problem. Street Scene 950-74590
Attachment 39615

This is different from the other one they sell, it has the honeycomb like OEM.
Attachment 39616

Just need to find the tri bar Mustang to put to one side.

Climbs down and puts on a fireproof suit........

Hey! Darrell I finally put the CDC tri bar pony on my CDC Billet grille its a great piece it has a angled back on it that makes it set level on the grill...Also I found that Turtle wax Ice Synthetic polish works friggin great on plastic trim and rubber molding I didn't like on the car but its fabulous on plastic and they do recommend it on the directions on the bottle, it cleans the white residue that sometimes shows up on plastic trim and keeps the dirt from sticking....

Yeah he saved me about $2500 on those heads. But it has been 5 days since I bought or had a mod installed and that seems to long. Besides I know Tom has this mod and think he is getting ahead of me in total mods so I just bought these for me. They seem to be right up the alley of us lazy butts. Right Tom??

Hey Butthead or is it Bevis...went by the Ford dealer tonight that did sell Ford Racing stuff "No More" and they can't get the FRing oil filters. I checked all around your link to "Joe Heck Racing" and could not find the filter. Can you supply the proper link? Did your wife get home safely yet? Boy is she in for a rude time!!
