JUST GOT AN UPDATE FROM BRENT!!
Car is pretty much done....... I asked for 450/450....... dyno numbers as we sit are 448/445!
He said the new setup makes more power than the Vortech system up to 6000 rpm but then the Vortech made 19 more hp at 6500 rpm. BUT, at 3500 rpm the new setup makes over 100 more lb/ft of torque than the Vortech system!
More details to come tomorrow.......

I hate to have to say this...but I have always said twinscrew..twinscrew...Now your going to find out why.
Congrats. Those are indeed great numbers. I am sure this really cold air helps a bunch! Your going to enjoy that 100 ft/lbs of torque way more than you will ever miss those 19 ponies.Scott

Uncle Scott LOL....... more like Grandpa Scott.

Darrell, I just talked to Brent and those numbers were after several pulls on the dyno. He is going to tune it a little bit more and see what it pulls after it's had a chance to cool down. But I'm happy with 450/450.
He's going to email me the dyno chart, I'll post it when I get it.

you need a view of the west to see whats comming...as long as that system in the Dakotas doesnt come down across the lake and pound us it should be ok..
Looks ok for Friday for you guys. Light snow thursday night and possibly into Friday morning.
Tom you should ask Brent for a street tune and a race tune. I bet you could get 470 rwhp out it for a couple of runs.
And oh yes congrats on your new Saleen power, I didn't mean to sound like my normal @ss self when I question the HP numbers.

Grampa's back!!!
Geez...don't you guys ever have to work??
Been on the road all day to Findley Ohio to look at engineering changes to some dies that make door hinge plates for the Ford Explorer, Expedition and all pickups. Didn't get back until 4 pm. A lot more snow up there. My guess is 4-5 inches and than it iced on it. Very slow going this morning. Hey Tom,
That vid of your car on the dyno is cool. It seems to spool up a lot quicker now than with the Vortec. Must be all that extra low end torque you didn't have before.
My wife is trying to mess up my trip tomorrow. She is in Washington DC and is supposed to get back around 8 tonight. She just call and the ice storm we had yesterday is over there now. Everything is delayed.

Work why do that...
Actually I took a couple days off my wife flew to Tampa this morning so I took some time off to spend with her before she split! I've been messing with the stingers all day there on but they need a lot of adjustment been out testing them, they do sound good! these thing have no drone compared to a set SLP LM's...

Have you had them out on the road yet and cruised at 55-60 mph? That will put you in the worse drone range. If you can deal with it all the time you are a better man than me!!

Scott,
Definatly a deeper sound IMO, seems like the raspy tone is gone. Hard to tell until you hear in person.
How about you buy the Magnaflows & put them on yours & let me hear how they sound in person
Then I'll decide
Seriously, does sound good in the clip.
Messy here today, gonna be bad as soon as it freezes again.Hows it down your way?
Also, I'll just be leaving here very early Fri morning to head to Brenspeed's. Will catch up with you there Friday.

I still have your cell number...do you still have mine? If not drop me a PM. Give me a call on Friday morning as you are getting close. I plan on being there at 7 am for your dyno pull!!
Scott
