I saw a Nissan GTR Parked at a hotel in south bend on my way home from work last night.. Probably waiting for its last leg of the One Lap of America.
IMHO The car is not very attractive, but it WAS hot, from an engineering standpoint.. It looked bigger than I expected it to.
I also helped a guy ship something back home who was a participant in One Lap of America.... He rode/drove in a SMART car!! He mentioned that it is going to be picking up sales bigtime with the price of gas and with the car's 11k price tag.... And having spent $54 last week to fill my tank... I really couldn't disagree with him.

No - not that I noticed... But seeing everything open like that made me think of the old days - big chrome tunnel ram with two Holley 650's... A little hard to do to this engine.

Within the next few weeks or so, my GT/CS bumpers will be put on and painted. I'm just waiting on my paint guy to be ready to do it, should be happening very soon.
Also, I'm changing jobs. The day after Memorial Day, I will be starting at a school bus facility, doing maintenance and repairs on school buses and a few Pace buses. The pay will be about the same with more room for advancement, and it will be a Mon-Fri job, with any Saturdays I do work being overtime.

I've got a friend in the car club I'm a member of that works at a body shop. He will do the paint for a bit less than usual. I will be installing them myself, possibly with a bit of his help to make sure they go in place without damaging the fresh paint.

My job at the airport is fuel truck maintenance, and the trucks are all old and worn out. The oldest trucks are 1977's and newest are 1995's. My new job at the bus terminal will be with much better maintained, newer buses. I'm very happy with my job move, won't be dealing with jet fuel pumping systems and won't be out in the weather as much.

Studwell Hungyoung....I didn't know you were Chinesse.
Well painted my Mirrors as I will be broke as smoke after this week. they came out pretty good. Also think of finally installing that O/R H-pipe and connecting the Innovate Air/Fuel gauge I brought last winter.
Anybody ever take apart a Alternator, my new son in law says his company wants 70 bucks to take it apart and let me paint or powercoat the skin and than put in back together. Also Sir Tom what cable did you use when you replaced your Alternator????
