Thanks Dustin,
I'm going to clear coat mine too, but I'm just starting...everyone here is way ahead of me.

I am going to use the 4.6L engine for now, but may scracthbuild a V6 later. Will post when complete.
First of all, all of your models are looking good, I can't wait to get mine and get started!
Now for my question-
It's been several years since I painted a model kit like this, and when I painted that model all I did was spray on a couple coats of paint and that was it.
Now I see how people are planning on adding a coat or two of clear to their models.
The question I have relates to adding decals to the model...would it be best to complete the total paint job including clear and applying the decals, or paint the model, add the decals then spray the clear over them (decals)?
Thanks for everyones advice, and I look forward to seeing everyone's finished models soon.

Almost done! The wheel pegs don't fit in, need to drill it.

I sprayed the body with Testor's glosscote, made a world of difference

If you value your relationship with your wife, don't do this. Even though it is too cold outside to spray paint.....

and your floor will be stained red like mine, see it?

Good thing Mr Clean Magic Eraser takes it off real easy. I do recommend spraying the clearcoat outside, it is very toxic and gave me a headache instantly, not smart.

It's nice to see someone almost finished, Dustin. Looks good.
I figure I've got at least 3 more weeks to go on mine. The front seats alone have taken over an hour and they aren't finished. I've also spent a couple of hours on the body already and that's just the start. So far, the biggest challenge has been the SLP exhaust, but I think they'll turn out OK.
The rest of the time has been spent trying to decide what mods to do. Not sure if I want to make an exact replica of my car (except the wheels) or build what I'd like to do to my car. I may save that for the next one when the Roush front fascia is available.

Awesome guys!!! Freakin' looks great! Getting some good tips and information on the paint (Redfire, w00t!).
Looks like the kit comes with the original concept rims and shifter. When I get mine, might have to tweak those.

Tiberius - You need to fix the strut mounts. One is allblack, the other is half black. But is still looks real nice.

Yeah, I forgot to paint the bracket on the driver side, but hey, I did say it was 99% done! :P

Great pics. Just what I needed to see because it looks like I'll need to modify that suspension to get mine down to stock height. Thanks.

A few pics for inspiration. This is from the model message board I go to.
A little low for my taste. Especially since the rest of the car is stock.
