Wheels are 17" upgrade w/Ford oval centers (actually making this an '05 kit.) decals for GT emblems included-no pony emblems though.

Fake gas cap is molded and chromed with good detail, again GT only.

How do you make the windows look tinted without painting them a solid black? I would like them to have a sight tint to them.

 

A guy is supposed to be sending me some stuff adhesive window tint film used for models. I don't know anything else about it, but I'll let you know how it turns out.

If you have an airbrush, Tamiya makes a clear smoke acrylic that works nicely.

 

I bought 2 yesterday 1 for home and 1 for work. I bought Testors colors by boyd "smoothster yellow". i sprayed the underside of the interior to test the color against the "screaming yellow" of my car. PERFECT MATCH!

I found two reds at my hobby shop testers ruby red metal flake 1629, and 1529 red metal flake rouge met , are eith one of these correct for the redfire?

Also what Color red is everyone using for the interior red? :scratch:

 

I used 1629 for redfire and 1104 dark red rouge fonce for the seats and doors. I'll post pics tomorrow.

Is there a special trick to putting the car body onto the frame? I tried doing it earlier and had a heck of a time fitting it over.

Also, is anyone planning on clearcoating their body? Testors 1814 is a high gloss clear coat. I think I want to use it.

 

To get the body on you'll have to pull the fenders out a little, but don't worry they'll flex enough to get the chassis in there. Just be careful not to scratch the paint.
