Here is a pic of my Revell '06 Mustang GT just finished about a week ago. I modeled this one after my '05 Gt ...that's why you'll notice 2005 on the back plate rather than 2006.
that is superb!

Lastly when installing any kind of clear parts, use Elmer's Glue-All to retain them, it will hold the part in place and you only need to use a small amount. And it will not fog clear plastics.
i actually use a coat of clear paint to hold clear parts in place. that way i dont have to worry about any elmers glue turning a yellowish tint as times goes by

I got one of these kits back 2 weeks ago...its really nice. I wanted to build it as the one I'm ordering in 2 weeks. The biggest problem I found was that it was impossible to find Tungsten Gray at an auto-store in a spray can. But never fear...the internet has a solution:

http://cobracolors.com/Merchant2/merchant....egory_Code=CC-D

This guy has all the 2005-06 colors premixed to be sprayed by airbrush. I placed my order and I got an email saying I should have them today or tomorrow. I have to pick up some other colors, since 98% of modeling colors are flat paint for the military modelling I normally do.

Anyone find any aftermarket wheels that are close (not deepdish) to the 18in Bullets yet? I've seen the legend lime green car with the 17in bullets already.

Here is mine so far. I made an X-Pipe for my exhaust and removed the cats. It isn't factory perfect, but I can live with my work.

The intersting part is I noticed in the instruction guide, there is not a step for installing the engine. I notice in step 4 the engine is there, but it is not mentioned in the previous steps.

Just want to say that everyones models look TERRIFIC!! I finally received my Aztec Airbrush that I won on Ebay. Now I can start the car up. I got two models, one is going to me my exact car, tne other will be a Bulitt tribute. Just have to find a color that looks close to DHG.

justgo to ford and get some touch-up paint. It is a little tricky to get it thinned right but once you figure that outis works fine as long as you prime the car first! Of course the paint code for that DHG paint is PY

Thanks, the side stripes came in the AMT 1967 Mustang GT kit. I had two sets of stripes left over from building it so I used the black for my '06 model. I had to paint over the letters "GT" on the stripe so it would be solid black. My actual real car says "mustang" on the side but my model just has a solid stripe. I used Testors #1214 Yellow for the exterior which matches screaming yellow.

Any ideas where i can get one in vancouver canada?
I've tryed a number of local hoppy shops and none seem to show anything.I wonder if model was only released in us? Also i notice revell site no longer shows link to model,or on there latest releases page.
I do relize i could order from a us shop (some links here have been posted) and or something like ebay. However after i pay exchange rate/shipping/duty etc etc the price becomes very expensive.

Should be able to get it in Canada. I bought mine on ebay but I know the hobby store here in London, Ontario had them. Incidently, I paid the same price on ebay that I would have paid the hobby store in London and that's with the exchange rate.

Mineral spirits works good too. Apply with a brush, then wipe off. Then wash with soap and water. It will not harm the plastic I have found that you can not do 2 coats of paint without it messing up. I let it dry for 48 hours and it still messed up and tried another time after 2 hours with another kit. It doesn't seem to matter how long I let it dry.
