I have used Scotch tape (the translucent, not clear) in the past to mask off areas that I paint. Might could try that. The foggy/translucent kind doesn't leave a residue and its easy to peel off when the paint dries.
The best thing to do, when doing trim work, is once you paint it, peel the tape off within a few minutes of finishing. This way, the paint won't dry on the tape, and damage the work you just did.

oops sorry man I read hers first, I never even saw yours. I start at the end and read backwards.

I'm sure there's someone else not using theirs, don't worry.

It called flocking you paint the part and sprinkle the flocking over the paint when its still wet and when it dries presto you have carpet. You can get it at a good hobby store.

Bingo, I painted the floor black and let it dry. Then I spread Elmers glue on it and sprinkled the flocking everywhere. Pushed it in with my finger and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then I shook the excess off and finished drying it with a hairdryer. The last step was to take a big brush and clean off the remaining excess. It's amazing how real the finished product looks.

Sorry about the pic, no matter how many I take I just can't seem to get it to focus.

If anyone still needs stripes, I will not be using the ones from my (still not started) kit. Send me PM with your info. Im afraid to start mine now that I've seen the artwork that some of y'all are capable of. :worship:

Thanks for the pic, Steve. It reminded me I'll need to do the rear shelf as well as the carpet. I didn't even think of that.

Am I the only one picky enough to sand off the release mechanism on the sides of the seats. Remember those were on the preproduction model.
