I did buy mine at WalMart, you will find it in the hardware/paint section with the rest of the spray paints.

 

i trimed the little tab that goes from the mirror into the body to get mine to lay "flat". i took it to work to put on my computer. i will take pix of it next week. currently working on next one. lowered and tricked out abit.

I dont have the car in front of me but isnt the area around the headlight
also body color? Looks like he did his model black in there.

Should I add foil behind the headlights to give them a real look??

I need to know where he got those side decals from. I need those BAD! I have the GT300 decals on the side of my car.
Also, the stripe kit comes with the stripes that go all the way down the back, I wonder why he didnt use them!?

I have the gray stripes I dont need if anyone wants those?!?!

 

I have used Scotch tape (the translucent, not clear) in the past to mask off areas that I paint. Might could try that. The foggy/translucent kind doesn't leave a residue and its easy to peel off when the paint dries.

 

I worked on mine a little this weekend. I cut the Cats off of the exhaust and made mine into an X-Pipe. I used the grey brackets for the straight legs and they matched the size of the exhaust pipes almost identical.

I was kinda ticked off. I ran out of glue. I went to K-Mart and they did not sell it. Well, I could not find it. I found a few models, but no glue or paint. So I went to the hobby shop.

I also got some "carpet" that I will put inside as well as use it for the hood insualtion.

I still need a chin spoiler.

As far as a chin, I might just try to make one out of putty. I have enough putty left over.

I did see a guy on ebya that had a cowl hood. He said he might have some grill items in the future.

 

Im working on some quarter window scoops for mine.Got them from the 68 gt500 model.
