I've got a question for people who already have their covers. I ordered one yesterday and was planning on using an '05 Stars and Stripes pony on it. I see everyone is using older model ponies. Are they smaller than the 05's? Is the '05 pony too large for this cover? Thanks in advance for your responses.

I had considered the "Stars 'n Stripes" 05 Pony but the 05s are too wide and they look unbalanced on the cover IMHO.
[attachmentid=23240]Took a chance and thought that the Steeda Economy/"Cheap ?" strut tower brace might fit without touching the engine cover.
Came close but when tightened, it did touch so I added a washer for spacing. Not ideal but IMO preferable to cutting the cover.
BTW - Used ExpressPaint and it matched perfectly.

Looks awsome with the red/blue braided hoses. Where did you get those from?

The color matched great. Like everyone has said it is a high quality item, and looks like the paint won't chip off too easily.
It was actually a very good feeling to see it after I put it on, it was just what I had envisioned when I ordered the parts about a month ago.

The 05 Pony is about 7-1/4" long and will fit the cover but it stretches completely from side to side. The 99-04 Pony is about 3" shorter and fits well as you can see.

I agree with you. I received my cover the other day and the '05 pony definitely does not look right on there. I've ordered a 99-04 pony and it will hopefully arrive soon.

Got those from Pepboys, 3/8" for the overflow tank, left PCV and the 2 on the right side, and 5/16" for the fuel rail vacuum line. I have a couple more to get: right side PCV and left upper radiator. You can go to www.spectreperformance.com and see which ones you want, then go to www.pepboys.com and order with no tax and free shipping
