If it's by the same airbag manufacturer ? Then I would say Yes !

Of course, cause we’re the bestest, Paris MkVI!

This link does not work for Canada, VGMStudios. You can PM me or FordServiceCA with your VIN and we can check for you.

Deysha ! Does the caution symbol mean that my car is on the list ? But I don't see an actual recommendation from Ford though, just the caution sign symbol

anyone know what changed in 08? was Takata still supplier, or had they realized a issue and revised it somehow? just strikes me as a little off as the wheels/airbags didnt *appear* to change from 05 until the new interior in 2010... also wonder how this pans out between Takata/Ford- the costs have to be huge.

funny, when I saw the 05 at the 04 auto show it was love at first sight, a lot of that was due to the cool steering wheel/smallish airbag- think it was the first one I ever noticed as looking great instead of fugly

Don't know if this has any bearing but the 08 Bullitt (Job 2) owners had to see the Dealer to adjust the setting on the passenger airbag. Apparently the factory setting was discovered to have too much pressure for small adults/children. I don't remember previous years being involved in the notice. Perhaps this signified a supplier change that had different pressure settings from 05-07?

I was told by my dealer that my car was safe to use as long as the airbag light wasn't staying lit. They are replacing the airbags as parts become more available. So I guess I can drive it according to Ford. is this a calculated risk?

The airbag recall applies specifically to certain 05-08 Mustangs and 2005-06 Ford GT models only.. 2004 models were not affected !

Heck yeah it's a risk ! Would you want to risk having your face splattered with pieces of shrapnel in the event of your airbag inflating following a collision ?

I know that I sure in the hell wouldn't, but then again.. That's just me
