'13-14 Cluster into '10-12 car (with TrackApps) retrofit

When you pull them, you need to have the orientation of the needle perfect. When you replace them you don't put them all the way on in case you need tweak it slightly to get the orientation perfect. Power on, check orientation, make any adjustments and if there are none, you press them completely on. Like everything else, takes a little patience.

I'm eager for you get yours. I'm really hoping it has a J2534 interface like the Genuine Rotunda Does.

When you install IDS it installs a J2534 Driver for the VCM. You can use the J2534-1 Bus Analysis Tool from Drewtech to test this driver (and ultimately the VCM) for this capability. Once Dan or you receive the VCM let me know, and I can walk you through setting up/testing this.
If it does indeed work, this opens up a good door for remote debugging.

VCM II arrived. Looks good. IDS connectivity to VCM works with VMWare on my Mac Laptop so thats good. Problem though --- the VCM is configured with IDS V86 and I currently have V85 installed. Need to upgrade to V86 before I can do anything .... ugh .....

I load the DLL for Bosch/VCM. I then OPEN under device. It sees the VCM but has an error that says something like Update PC software ... it does see a serial number on the VCM.

It would be a great resource if we could get that to work as well.

Looks like a knock off....Redline is too high and the font doesn't look right...And if it's like new is should be at least4-500 bucks...That's about an 800 dollar cluster with no core

Success with the VCM ... installed V86 software (thanks ajpturbo). Was able to key in AS-BUILT for my ABS module and read DTC's. After resetting all DTC's the only one stuck was for ABS: code U201A. Invalid/Incomaptible software component.

SUCCESS!!!! ABS working, Track Apps working and no DTC's !!!
Here is what I did in a nutshell ....
I did a Module PMI for the ABS module. When IDS showed my VIN and asked if correct I replied no. I manually keyed in a 2013 car VIN .. same one I used for my AS-BUILT for the cluster install.
IDS then asked if I had the original module. I said NO. IDS then downloaded the calibration file from the internet. IDS flashed the ABS module and that was that.
IDS did give me a warning that the VIN in my PCM was incorrect ... but that was because I had manually typed in a different VIN for the ABS module.
Took car for a quick test drive and Track Apps is all working and NO DTC's!!
Got my moneys worth out of the VCM II already!

Congrats!!!!! I've read about all the work you and the small group of people brave enough to try this mod. I am very happy that all the hard work had paid off.
